Everything is going well, I've been talking to some business partners of my Dad.
And now we're on our way to the closest family in our family, the Spanish Mafia.
"Manuel! It's been a long time since we've seen each other. Glad you could make it." Dad greeted a man who I think is the same age as him.
"Oh, Armarros, yes yes it been a while, and of course I wouldn't miss this for anything." He said giving my dad the bro hug.
"Amellia, this right here is Manuel Herrera, Manuel my daughter Amellia." Dad introduced.
I gave him a small smile and reached out for a hand shake which gladly he gave his hands to shake.
"Nice to meet you Sir." I said.
"Nice to meet you too, Hija." He smiled.
"And this is my wife, Elena Herrera. And my two daughters, Isabella Herrera and Isabel Herrera, and my only son, Inigo Esai Herrera." He Introduced.
The two girls are twins for sure, I think they're in their 20s and the other one who is looking at me with such emotions I can't figure out, I think he's the same age as me or a little older.
"Nice to meet you." I said smiling and lend my hand for a shake.
Which they gladly accepted. Well, Inigo seems to be thinking about something else as it took him a while before he reaches my hand.
"You're too deep in you thoughts, Sir Inigo." I said teasingly.
I'm a little comfortable with him for some reason.
"Well, I could say I am, your beauty can make everyone think deep." He said laughingly teasing me back.
I laughed.
"It's nice meeting you, Miss Amellia." He said.
"The same with you, Sir Inigo." I said.
It's like we're just teasing each other.
"Looks like My son and Your daughter already got along." Mr. Herrera said laughing.
I looked at them and then to my brothers who doesn't even show an inch of emotion.
They just kept on talking and talking about business while my brothers got pulled by some of their friends to hangout. Yeah hangout.
While Me, Inigo, Isabella, and Isabel are talking about what we have in common.
Like, Isabel is finishing her college degree to be a doctor, she always wanted to be a doctor, I also want to be a doctor myself.
Isabella have have this addiction to reading, which I also have!
While Inigo and I have in common is loving travel.
The night goes on and I didn't even notice how fast it went by all I know is we are now at the front door of our house saying our goodbyes to the Herrera family. They need to go home for school, so do I, but first, I need to explore Italy, then here we go Japan!
The next morning we just went on a walk and visited some places.
And now, we're on our way to Japan, of course still with the whole family.
"Amellia, you seem to be thinking about something deep." Alec said.
I looked at him and sighed.
"Nothing, it's just... I wish mom is here with us." I said with a sad tone.
"Yeah, me too." He looked at his necklace.
I too looked at my necklace remembering that mom designed this.
I also noticed Xandrix at the side of my eye, it's like he's thinking about something deep.
This past few days he's been staying away from me for some reason, I don't know if it's because of what happened last time or he just don't like being with me.
"Xan, are you okay?" I asked.
He looked at me, his eyes show such care whenever he looks at me.
"Yeah, I'm fine. You should go sleep for a while, this is a long flight." He said.
Like what he said, I tried to sleep and eventually fell asleep.
XANDRIX
I looked at my sister who is now sleeping with her head in an uncomfortable position.
I slowly placed her head on my shoulders.
She misses mom so much, she wants to see her. If I was able to protect mom that time... Things will be different.
She would be smiling while mom is holding her, like before. She would be running downstairs every time mom cooks for us, she's such a good cook.
I miss her too, but I know she's happy that Amellia is no with us, I won't ever let anything happen to her now, I was so young when she got kidnapped, my cousins— all of the extended family immediately went to America to come searching for her with us. My Grandfathers made sure that they won't be able to go on a plane when they received the news, Airports are shut downed.
We looked everywhere, even in other places, even though we know they won't be able to fly outside. But after a day, we can't delay other passengers who doesn't even know anything about it, so the flights are back.
We just kept on looking for her, until that day came, we found her. But in the most difficult time, she was gravely injured, she was dying, I'm in such trouble with these gangs, I still need some therapy and also need to control my anger when with her, which obviously is hard to do. I've lived my life not caring about how others think of me, my father and brothers can handle me. But now, I don't want her to see my bad side, I want her to live and have a little peace while being with me.
I promise one thing, and that is that I'm not letting the same mistake I did before happen again. I'm going to protect her.
"Do you have any plan?" Dad asked all of the sudden.
I looked at his place only to see him playing chess with Uncle Lucian.
I thought he wasn't asking me so I turned my head away.
"Xandrix, I'm asking you, son. Do you have any plan?" Dad asked again clarifying that he is talking to me.
"Yeah, It'll happen next week. Monday." I said.
"How about your sister?" Dad asked looking at Amellia who is sleeping with her head on my shoulder.
"I'll do anything to keep her safe, just this one last time, and I promise to make it up to her, I'll spend most of my time with her." I said.
Dad nodded slowly which assured me that he trust me.
