35: 18th and him.

A M E L L I A

It's my 18th birthday! And we decided to celebrate it in Switzerland. Dad owns a Land there, and we selected it as the venue for my 18th birthday.

It's going to be lavender, beige combination.

I'll be wearing a Beige gown with Lavender designs and lace for my entrance and an ombre beige and lavender mermaid gown for the after party entrance. And a lavender mini one for the rest of the party.

I'm in a hotel room, my hair now being fixed into an Elegant Low Bun, gowns are in a moving rack.

"Lia"

I looked at the door that just opened.

"Alec, how do I look?" I asked.

"Beautiful as ever."

I giggled.

"Everyone's excited. You only have 40 minutes left before the ceremony."

"Do you think it'll go well?"

"Yes, of course it will. You know most of them already, but there will also be some that you haven't met yet. Just do what you always do. Be yourself." He stood beside me his hands on my shoulder as if he's reassuring me that everything will be just fine.

"You really look a lot like dad. But I do wish that you looked like mom more."

I just laughed at what he said.

"We look like each other, you know." I told him.

"Well, yeah. I wasn't shocked at all when I saw that you looked like me, I was shocked by the fact that you really are back. A lot of them tried to be you, for a better life. But I know to myself that you'll look exactly like me. And they use low budget contact lense, I could see right through it."

"How?"

"You haven't seen my pictures when I was young?" He asked confused.

"C'mon Lia, it's literally hanged on my room. You looked exactly like me when I was at your age." He said.

"Wait, that was you? I thought..." I said shocked.

He chuckled, "Yes that was me. Not you. You picture is always with me in my wallet, and even in my I.D when I was still a student."

I just smiled thinking how much my family loves me. I just wished that I was able to be with them my whole life. I'll make sure to make happy memories with them from now on.

"Lia, it's time." Alec reached out for my hand.

I took a deep breath, then placed my hand on his hand.

I can do this!

We walked out of the hotel, a car was waiting for us.

Alec is driving, I looked outside, Switzerland is beautiful.

"We're almost there."

This isn't my first time seeing a lot of people, but still.

When the car stopped, Alec opened the door and assisted me out. Dad and my brothers are waiting there.

Dad came closer and offered his hand that I happily accepted.

"Just be you, Mia figlia. No one will dare oppose you here, this day is yours, and yours only. Don't let them bother you." Dad said.

We started walking inside of the venue, there's a hallway before the place where the party is being celebrated.

A big door is right in front of us, it's the only thing that's keeping us from our guest.
