Enha is Eight | 2: Double Trouble

Prologue

"Yeona! Come on!" cheered Heeseung. Jay and I were having a cooking battle; for En-O' Clock's latest episode. Our goal was to make the best dishes we could in a limited amount of time. We were given two hours to prepare the delicacies. The rest of the members would vote for who's meal was the best. And I was hoping to win, because if I did, Jay would have to buy me something I wanted.

"Try this," said Jay, and held a spoon in front of my mouth.
"Why?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Just... need an opinion."
I took the spoon from his hand an tasted it.
I choked on it the moment it went down my throat.
"Whew that's hot... And what makes you think I won't lie?"

Jay finished a bit before time, so he was standing there staring at whatever I was making.
"Hurry up... Or else your final dish won't be counted"
"Jay there's like ten minutes left and all I have to do is apply a coat of dressing. Seriously..."

Finally it was time for the taste test. Jay and I watched with bated breaths. Everyone made the most believable poker faces while they chomped down of the food.
Half an hour later, everyone had come up with their own personal opinion.

"Okay," said the director. "Votes for Jay?"
Everyone raised their hands.
"And... Votes for Eleanor?"
Everyone raised their hand again. But Niki and Heeseung raised both their hands.

"What's that supposed to mean?"
I raised an eyebrow. Did I win?
"We're giving you an extra vote, Noona!"
Niki was clapping. "Your cooking is really really good!"
"Aww, thanks! But I think it's pretty much a tie... depending on what the director says."

He seemed to be deep in thought.
"Yeah, the winner's Yeona. Niki and Heeseung gave an extra vote, so... I guess she wins!"

I playfully slapped Jay's shoulder. He winced in pain.
"Can you stop doing that all the time," he cried.
"Now... time to bring out my wishlist," I smirked.
