"Yeona. Wake up," I felt someone nudging me sometime later. I groaned, feeling completely drained. "Yeah?" I managed. I opened my eyes, and saw Jay holding the door open for me.
"We're home. C'mon, I'll cook something warm for us," he smiled. "Where's Sunghoon?" "Still at the studio, with Sunoo and Jake."
I nodded, stretching and fixing my hair. "God.. how long was I out?" "About two hours. It's 7," Jay held my hand, helping me hop out of the van. "Thanks," I yawned, stumbling to my feet.
"You're burning up," said Jay, in a way so gentle I'd never expect it. "Lovely," I sighed. "Now everyone's gonna be worried about me."
Once we were inside, Heeseung and Jay immediately tucked me into bed, insisting that I get enough rest for the day. "Twice a day. Take the meds twice a day," said Heeseung, mothering me like I was a child. "If you need anything, don't hesitate." "I'll be fine, I just need a nap," I whined. "Don't fuss about me. Please."
"Why shouldn't we? You have a fever. It's not a thing to be taken lightly," Sunghoon walked into the room, placing his bag on the chair. The room went silent, and I immediately shut my mouth. Heeseung and Jay took it as their cue to leave, closing the door with a soft click.
"What?" I raised an eyebrow at Sunghoon, sitting up in bed. "Don't give me that look." Sunghoon stood there, analysing me. "You look cute when you try to brush off the attention," he blurted, like it was nothing. Like it had absolutely no effect to my weak heart.
"You-" I groaned. "I'm sick, give me a break." "Oh, so now you're admitting that you're sick?" he said, stuffing his hands into his pockets and walking closer.
Goddammit, Park Sunghoon.
"Just say what you want and get it over with," I implored, shuffling about to make space for him to sit. "How are you feeling?" he asked, placing his hand on my neck, and then my forehead to check my temperature. "Worse than I did before I fell asleep," I sighed, slumping back into bed. "Winter sucks this year."
I watched as Sunghoon crawled up to the other side of the bed, before slipping under the covers and holding me tight. "Whoa there," I jumped. "This is new." "Shut up. I'm trying to be romantic," he said, rolling his eyes before laying his head on my chest. "I'll keep you warmer than this blanket ever could, trust me."
By the time both of us woke up, the sun was now above the horizon and not peeking just behind it. I shuffled in my place, until I realised that Sunghoon was still asleep on me. And boy was he out cold. I smiled, watching his head slowly move as I breathed.
"Sunghoon..." I called out, ruffling his hair. "Good morning~" I waited for a few moments, but to no avail. He was fast asleep like a log, and unfortunately as adorable as that was, it didn't let me move an inch. I sighed in frustration, covering my eyes with my hands.
"Yeona?" I heard Jay's voice from the other side of the door. "You awake yet?" "Yeah. Wanna come inside?" Jay opened the door, stifling his laughter at my current state of immobility.
"Help," I pleaded. "He's out cold." Chuckling, Jay set down the tablet and glass of water which he'd brought for me. He gently poked Sunghoon in the ribs, causing him to finally show some sign of responsiveness.
"Wake up. Your girlfriend needs to take her meds," he said, waiting for Sunghoon to move. "She can take them later," he grumbled, pulling me closer. I went red covering my face with embarrassment while also trying not to laugh.
"Oi. Wake up," I messed up his hair again, receiving a groan for a response. "Fine..." he eventually got up, his hair all over the place. I sat up, taking the tablet and the water.
"Thanks Jay. Did I miss anything?" I gulped everything down, handing the glass back to him. "Apart from your recording, no. Nothing important."
"Nothing important?" I raised an eyebrow. "What's the unimportant part?" "Oh, just Jungwon going on about how they're putting too much pressure on you," he smiled weakly. "How are you feeling?"
"Good," I looked over at Sunghoon, who seemed to be eagerly waiting for Jay to leave. "Is everyone else okay? I mean we woke up at 4."
Jay nodded, giving Sunghoon a look before closing the door. "Good night again," said Sunghoon, hogging the blanket. I sighed. This was going to be a long day.
