"Cake! Cake, wake up! Wake up!"
Cake furrowed his brow as Eiw's voice pierced through his somnolence.
Eiw had been calling him for almost a minute now, but shaking off the stupor of sleep had always been a trying task for Cake.
Inwardly he groaned and steeled himself. Any second now, Eiw was going to get exasperated and jump on top of him as a last ditch effort to wake him up.
Kiss.
Lips pressed to Cake's nose.
Kiss.
One on his forehead.
Kiss, kiss, kiss.
Love against his cheek, over and over.
"Wake up!"
Cake smiled and cracked his eyes open.
Eiw kissed him on the lips as a reward.
"That was easy." He commented with a sly grin.
Cake had to agree, it had never been this easy to wake him before. Usually Eiw couldn't get through to him even if he had a megaphone.
So he was going to use this tactic now huh? How clever.
But, Cake could play dirty too.
He swung his arm over Eiw and pinned him to the bed to return all the kisses.
"Hey!" Eiw squealed as his head hit the pillow. "We have to get going!"
"Five more minutes~" Cake pleaded, nuzzling Eiw's cheek and kissing it in adoration. "I missed you."
"You missed me?" Eiw asked with a laugh. "But I was right next to you all night!"
"Still." Cake insisted, attacking him with affection. "It's not the same."
"I didn't miss you." Eiw said cheekily.
And even though Eiw was giving him a cute, playful smile, Cake's heart twinged.
"What...?"
"Because I saw you in my dreams." Eiw said, his eyes flashing with mischief.
"...! Eiw! You're cheesier than me!"
Cake tickled and kissed Eiw until he begged for mercy.
"Alright, alright!" Eiw said between giggles, "Come on, we really have to go!"
He jumped up and out of the way before Cake could stop him.
"I'm getting in the shower, so hurry and get up! We have class soon."
"You know," Cake said, rubbing his chin in mock rumination, "It would be so much quicker if I got in with you."
Eiw rolled his eyes at Cake, "We'll never make it in time if you do that."
"So is that a yes?"
"That's a you wish, Sweetie."
Cake pouted, "You're no fun, Seasoning."
Eiw shook his head at Cake's folly and walked over the bookshelf and unhooked his new bracelet. He placed it into a wooden jewelry box that they'd bought especially for it's safekeeping.
The new semester was well underway and Cake had been working at the radio station for a little while now.
The moment he got his first paycheck, he went and bought Eiw the bracelet that he'd had his eyes on since their first date.
