𝐓here was a loud noise, a crash.  Me, Annie, and Fielda jumped the sudden sound. "Come on, we need to check out what that was." Annie declared. She and Fielda looked more terrified than I did. Were they...hiding something from me? Something I should know? I shrug the thought off and followed the two outside. When we got out, the sight was horrible, there was fire, dead bodies, injured people, and people who were just straight up running scared. We were frozen in place. Until Fielda spoke up, "we need to run. Go to the fence, hop it, and start running as fast as we can. " Me and Annie woke up from our haze and agreed, it wasn't like we had a choice. We ran to the fence, hopped it and ran. What just happened was horrifying and it was all we could think about. My breath was heavy as I tripped over rocks and weird vines. I had scrapped myself a few times while running. My breath eventually ran short and I dropped to the ground while clutching my chest.

Annie and Fielda stopped and looked back. They also dropped to the ground as well. "Well, THAT was the MOST TIRING thing I've ever experienced yet so far." Annie announced. I held a thumbs up while putting my head down. "You think?We still need to find shelter." Fielda demanded in a loud voice. Annie groaned loudly as I gave Fielda a look. She glared at me. "What? I'm not wrong," she said, I simply rolled my eyes. "Hey what was that all about back there? The fire, the dead bodies...all of that." I asked the two girls. Annie and Fielda jumped. I held my hands up as if I was surrendering. "Sorry...anyway, we 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 explain." Annie reassured me as Fielda nodded in agreement. "So there was this girl named Regina, she had cursed the village for an unknown reason. When the village found out it was Regina, they all plotted to kill her...however, she killed them all before they could hurt her first. That is, until someone took her by surprise and stabbed her, taking her life." Fielda explained. It was silent for a while before Annie started to speak.

"But then she came back, but in a different form, the form of a little girl whom grew to have the curse but stronger. It was a cycle- and now, we think she has returned." Annie finished the story. We were all quiet for a brief moment before I decided to speak.

"So are we just going to run?" I say slowly. It really seemed like a fools choice, to run and not find out if it was true or not. "Of course not, we are going to find this witch and kill her once and for all!" Fielda spoke up suddenly. I watched as she rose up and stretched, me and Annie did the same. "Yeah, if you think about it, all our lives- we've been living in fear of Regina. But this time we can't be scared, we have to do 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨." Annie realized in shock. My head shot up suddenly. "Wait a minute, in my universe, there was supposed-" I started to speak was cut off by Fielda. "Rumors of the supernatural? Yeah we figured, so what if...Regina has returned, not only stronger, but managed to travel between the several universes?" she asks and we all knew what that meant. "That means she is going to be recruiting people for an army, shit, we need to find someone who is willing to help us, we can't do this on our own." Annie curses. Suddenly Fielda jumps in. "I think I know who to go to." Fielda announced. "Follow me," she demands and starts jogging, we fall right in line and follow her.

                                                                                          *  *  *

We came to a cabin in the woods, surprisingly it was still light outside. I shrug the thought off, this WAS a different universe after all. Fielda and Annie have the same proud and mischievous look on their faces. 𝘜𝘩 𝘰𝘩, I thought. They are obviously up to something. Fielda walks up the steps and knocks loudly on the door and then steps back. A boy around my age opens the door, he had curly medium length black hair with green eyes, and he obviously hit puberty because it looked like he was growing in a bread, but it wasn't that noticeable. He was my immediate meaning of a gorgeous boy. I mentally slapped myself. He smiled at Fielda and hugged her, she poked him in the ribs and gestured her inside. He did the same with Annie who went inside immediately. He looked at me and gave me a kind smile. I went inside before him.

I sat down at the table with Fielda. She began to speak. "So, first off, Violetta, stand up." she demanded. I stood up immediately. She pushed me in front of Jack who was only slightly shorter than me. Then she walked over to Jack and pushed him so hard he nearly fell. "Violetta, I'd like for you to meet my other best friend, Jack Mayfield." Fielda announced proudly. It was hard not to laugh from the awkwardness. "Uh, hi. I'm Violetta Echo, but please call me Violet." I say. Jack stepped towards me and took my hand and planted a kiss on it. My cheeks turned red. "Nice to meet you Violet." He spoke in the softest voice I've ever heard. I could here Fielda snickering somewhere along with Annie. It was only my first day being there and Fielda was already trying to be cupid or something. I was going to lecture her about it later. But for now, we had bigger problems that Fielda the Cupid.

One thing was for sure, this journey was just getting started.

A/N: Welp, this was quite the chapter if I do say so myself. But I hope this one was better! Stay safe and happy reading!
