[Marco's POV]

I glanced up from the canvas at the sound of my front door opening. Only two people actually have a copy of my house key, Perona and Izo. "Marco!" It was Izo. "I'm in my studio, yoi!" I shouted loud enough for him to hear. I make a living off of the paintings I paint, so an art studio is basically a must have. I love my Job, it's very calming and relaxing. I placed my paintbrush down and turned away from my current work of art, a flaming blue phoenix, and sat down on the couch.

"Hey, I know you love your job and this is how you make a living, but you seriously need to take a break." his onyx eyes look over at me in worry. "I Know!" he suddenly shouts in excitement. I look at him in confusion, laying back onto the couch. "You need to get yourself a boyfriend! Maybe then you wouldn't lock yourself in this studio" he claps his hands like he just came up with the greatest idea ever, his long black hair moving slightly with the movement. My eyebrow twitched. I had told him about my preferences a few years back and he's never shut up about it since. I've lost count of how many times he's told me to get a boyfriend. I also told Perona and she seemed really excited about it.

"Absolutely not" I glared up at him, already knowing that I most likely had no choice in the matter. I have this strange feeling that today I was not going to be able to escape. "I found this really cool site the other day, while looking at pictures of hot men." he entered the studio and sat down on the couch next to me, opening up my laptop. He opened a new tab and typed in "E-retā.com"

"E-retā?" This was completely new to me. The last time he mentioned me needing a boyfriend he ended up forcing me to agree to a blind date, and the guy was a real piece of work. "Yeah, it's very similar to pen pals, but instead of writing letters, you send out emails. Pulling the laptop towards myself, I scrolled through the description and the rules. I was pretty curious. I thought about it for a moment before sighing, "alright, I suppose I could give it a try, yoi" I mumbled, hitting the sign up button.

"Perfect! I'd love for you to tell me all about whoever you get matched with! Eeeek! This is so exciting!" Izo says, leaving the room happily. Glancing back down at the screen, I gave a small sigh before creating an account. An hour later I finally decided to stop stalling and finally click the "new E-retā" button; I returned to my painting and an hour went by before the screen finally changed, saying "we have found you an E-retā!"

[Ace's POV]

I had just awoken from one of my narcolepsy induced sleep attacks when my computer made a strange ding sound and a sing songy female voice following with the words "You've got a letter!". I Jumped, highly confused. My computer has never done that before. After a moment I finally remembered the site I signed up for and I'm suddenly wishing I didn't wake up. Groaning, I stood up from my bed and made my way to my desk. 'What if this person is a complete ass? What if it's a female?! Oh my lord, what if it's a creepy pedophile?' I thought, really nervous and slightly scared. I stared down at my screen, the inbox button blinking up at me every few seconds. I am really really nervous, but that's normal, right? Before I could change my mind, I slowly clicked the button and the message appeared on my screen. It wasn't a long 'letter' which I highly appreciated. As I read the 'letter' I relaxed slightly. 'At least it's a guy...'

"Hello, My name is Marco. I guess I'm your new E-retā or whatever it's called. To be quite honest with you, I have no idea what I'm doing. My friend had suggested I sign up for this site since he really thinks I need to meet someone. He thinks I'm a lonely person who's constantly locked up in his art studio. Um, I suppose I could just tell you a bit about myself. Feel free to call me Marco, since that's my name. I am 28 years old. I currently live in Japan but I was born in Italy and went to school in America. That's all I can currently come up with right now, and If you chose to request for a new E-retā I would completely understand. Have a nice day"- Marco
