Okay, guys. I never thought I'd be doing this but after an incident that happened recently. I'm unpacking and being transparent.
This story is incredibly important and personal for me. It began as an outlet for things I was going through personally and I want to share why.
My mother is a victim of domestic abuse at the hands of my father. The same father that I've had to live with my whole life. My house was never a happy home— instead I was subjected to witnessing all of this.
A few days ago my father pulled out a weapon on my mother and proceeded to assault her later that day, I witnessed the whole thing.
It was then that I, a mere 17 year old, had to call 911 and translate (my mother isn't fluent in English) everything.
Due to this, my father was arrested.
I don't wish to share anymore about that for now, except for he's now currently out.
This has been extremely distressing for my family. We're currently struggling with a lot of things.
So, why do I share this? I only wish to provide some insight on this story and why it's so important. Also, an explanation of sorts as to why my updates have slowed.
I love you all. I'm sorry for those of you who were expecting an update.
Although writing is therapeutic for me, so I might be resorting to that now.
