Autumn couldn't believe her younger brothers. A party? After everything that happened that morning with her whole family practically in crumbs, Jonathan and Jordan had been planning on attending a bon fire party tonight with the local teens of Smallville.

Parties, socializing and drinks had always been Jonathans scene, but Jordans excuse was five-two, brunette and to be honest- a little annoying.

Don't get her wrong Autumn loved the idea of a party, but only with people that she knew, not a bunch of strangers. Yet the sound of free Booz was enough to sway her to join the two, so with a quick outfit change and the magical abilities of a hairbrush, The seventeen-year-old was off.

The beer tasted like shit.

It had a light taste of mango and for some reason that Autumn honestly didn't want to know, it was sour.

The girls face twisted in absolute disgust, gagging after one sip. Quickly spilling the rest of the contains of the drink onto the ground.

"You must be new?" A voice spoke with humor from beside Autumn.

Autumn looked over to who she was speaking to, which just happened to be a tall asian kid, who looked almost the same age as her, maybe younger.

"What gave it away?" Autumn questioned light heartedly, throwing the red cup into a trash bag, not really looking eat the guy much.

"Well every townie knows that Jacobs keg taste likes sweat."

"Oh, so that's the secret ingredient, was wondering why it was sour." Autumn gave the boy a light smile. he was handsome, his smile bright and big.

"Tag." The boy pushed out his hand in a handshake, which she took with a small laugh.

Her smile was breathtaking Tag had to admit.

"Your name is Tag?" She questioned with a raised brow. Autumn didn't know what to think of the boy in front of her. On one hand he seemed nice and she didn't mind making a new friend, but Autumn wasn't stupid, she knew from experience that boys never just wished to be friends with her.

"Yup, I know it's sad." Tag replied, a small blush creeping onto his cheeks. Either from embarrassment or his ability to make the beautiful girl laugh.

"No worries, I'm Autumn."

Autumn felt good. The death of her grandmother had been easier and easier to deal with as the days went by. And strangely enough she missed joking around and talking to someone. She had been separated from her friends for too long, so internally she thanked Tag for that small hit of nostalgia.

Tag seemed taken aback, throwing his head back in a laugh, which seemed a little over dramatic.

"You're named after a season!" The boys eyes glistened in amusement.

"And you're named after a childhood game. I guess we're both unfortunate." Autumn smiled, her dimple curving in drawing Tags attention.

Tag would've responded if a commotion hadn't broken out near the large fire. Both teens quickly looked to where all the yelling had been coming from watching a big crowd of teens surround no other than Jonathan and Jordan.

Autumn rushed over in anger, she would deal with Jordan and Jon later but right now she wanted them safe and away from the couple of dudes who took the liberty to continuously hit them while they rolled on the dirt.

"Hey let them go! Please!" Sarah Cushing yelled over the large men, not being able to help either of the twins.

"Wait!" Tag quickly gripped Autumns arm stopping her from getting between them. He knew it was a bad idea, she may be tall but she was still no match to four football players who just so happened to bye his teammates.

"Let go." Autumn didn't even look back to who had gripped her, her mind filled with worry for the boys. Could they have broken something, or maybe get internal bleeding. Autumn felt like throwing up.

"You'll get hurt." tag didn't budge, his grip tightening even more. It would have hurt Autumn if she hadn't been so focused on the twins.

Everything happened so fast.

Over the chanting and yells, the once small fire had turned into a whole explosion. Autumn felt the heat rush onto her skin as the blast sent her and Tag straight backwards, with a handful of other teens.

While Tag had landed right onto his arm, Autumns head hit a rock.

Tag had broken his arm while Autumn was out cold.

The young boy winced in pain for a minute, pushing himself up with his other hand wanting to make sure his new friend was okay. It took him two steps before his eyes found Autumn, laying on the ground, her head tilted to the side while blood dripped from the side of her head.

Tag sat right next to Autumn, waiting for help from professionals. He didn't care that they all would be caught with alcohol, he just wanted Autumn to be okay and for the pain in his arm to go away.

Jonathan and Jordan seemed busy in their own world after realizing what Jordan had done. In the midst of the fight, something within Jordan had triggered and he had sent a laser beam right into the fire pit, resulting in the big explosion.

It did not take Clark long to get there the minute he heard his kids needed him. when the man reached the bonfire. The professionals had already taken control of everything.

"Second time in two days Kent! luckiest family I know." Kyle Cushing, a respected firefighter and Sarahs father stated. Jonathan ran to his father and gave the man a big hug.

"Dad, Jordan." Jon stated in shock. Both men looked over to see Jordan sitting on a rock, a blanket being thrown over his shoulder. Clark could tell exactly what had happened by the bruised marks around the boys eye.

"Was Autumn with you?" Clark asked snapping Jonathans attention. The boy felt guilty, after everything that had just happened he hadn't even thought about how his sister was doing.

Clark didn't wait for an answer instead he used his hearing to locate Autumns heartbeat. Ever since she was born, being the first child of the Kents, Clark was extremely overprotective of the girl, so he quickly memorized her distinctive heartbeat, so he could always find her.

The man located her behind another ambulance getting a small part of her head stitched up.

"Dad." Autumn stated with relief seeing her father. she had woken up and felt like absolute shit.

Clarks heart had never raced like this before, seeing his daughter wince in pain while getting stitched up broke him. He could have lost one of his kids today. It might seem bad but the man was a little angry at Jordan for hurting her, even though to had been unintentional.

Clark would never admit it, but his little girl would always and forever be his favorite child.
