Autumn was embarrassed. The girl had sat through the whole lesson with her eyes on her lap or paper, not daring to look up at the teacher.

Mr. Vice had gone through the whole lesson with a small smirk on his lips. He found the situation quite funny, but he wouldn't dare say anything in front of all the other students to not embarrass the girl.

Just as the bell rung, Autumn hastily collected her belongings, rushing out of the room, leaving a confused Tag behind.

The rest of the school day had gone by somewhat smoothly, the only period she had with her younger brother had been lunch, were they sat together and ate the sandwiches Lois had packed in the morning, feeling slightly bad for Jordan who had to stay home.

Jonathan sent a silent prayer getting back into the car with Autumn after the final bell rung. He really should start taking the bus.

"Jon?"

Jonathan looked over to his sister with slightly furrowed brows. The car ride had been practically silent except the soft tunes on the radio.

"Yeah?" He questioned glancing from the trees to Autumn once in a while.

Autumn sighed hesitating speaking in the first place. Her grip on the wheel tightened slightly.

"Do you think we will ever have powers?" Autumn didn't want to sound jealous of her brother Jordan. Mater-a-fact she didn't want powers to begin with. They seemed to make like much more complicated. Autumn always wanted the simple life, go to school, get a degree, meet someone, start a family, and grow old, but she was Superman's daughter, her life will never be normal.

"I hope so." Jon spoke after a moment of silence. Unlike Autumn, jealousy stirred in Jonathan's chest. He had always been the golden boy, in school and in their family, but with the move to a completely different school, Jonathan's social status had depleted, and even at home their parents attention had always been with Jordan, the one with social issues, and now the son with powers.

Jon's jaw clenched thinking about the topic. He would never say it out loud, but he should have been the one with powers.

A small frown fell on Autumns face seeing how this was all effecting Jonathan. She could tell he wasn't taking all of this as well as she was. Jon had been angry at their parents for keeping this secret so long, but Autumn understood their reasoning.

Autumn gave the young boy a tight smile before turning up the radio, deserting any talk of powers.

The two Kents made it home safely, not really speaking on their small walk inside.

Autumn didn't stay down stairs long enough to hear Jon and Jordan bickering. Quickly giving her parents a small hug the girl rushed to her room.

She had hours worth of homework on her first day, but Autumn didn't mind, she thrived in school.

The girl jumped from doing her homework and texting Tag, who was admit on beating her in a mobile game. Slowly she drifted off to sleep in her pile of textbooks and papers, trying to not think about school tomorrow where she will have to once again face her English teacher.

Clark frowned slightly listening to his daughter's heart rate slow down from the kitchen. He wished they would spend more time together, but for now he would let her rest. Clark could only hope that his children would one day love Smallville as much as he did.
