I was standing in the middle of a rainstorm. Rain poured down all around me as lightning struck in the sky. The wet water was freezing against my skin. I could barely see a few feet in front of me due to the heavy rain but I could tell I was surrounded by a forest.

I reached down to the wet forest floor to touch the green moss. I could feel it's slippery texture under my pale hands making it feel very real. It felt like a sensation that I had felt a million times before.

Large thick tree trunks with vines wrapped around them were all to be found around me. The trees were extremely tall, appearing like they touched the sky. I looked in every direction just wondering where to go. I was clearly lost.

I decided to move forward in a random direction, steeping along the wet forest floor. The rain made it feel unbearable as I trudged along. I wasn't sure where I was going but it felt right.

"Lilith" an unknown voice called out to me.

I turned around but spotted no one following me.

"Who's there?" I shouted, trying to sound louder than the rain.

I spotted a figure out in the distance. I squinted my eyes, wiping off my face to try to see better but the person was too far to see properly.

"Hello?" I called out to the stranger.

The stranger moved towards me, taking long wide strides. I could see them growing clearer and clearer as they walked up to me.

The stranger stopped walking as they stood a few feet away from me. I shielded my eyes from the rain to allow me to see the person better but instantly regretted it.

I could now see the man that stood in place for the creature. I had been up close with the creature many times but never able to see his face. However, this man's face was on full display as his features were much easier to see.

I felt my heart start to race but for the first time, not from fear. I had grown so accustomed to constantly being afraid that feeling calm almost was foreign to me. I stared at the man before me, studying him.

He was a very tall man with a lean body. He had toned muscles on his arms but he wasn't necessarily muscular or bulky. He would almost be considered skinny if it he didn't have any time to his physique. His face was unique in the most beautiful sense. It was like he was crafted from a piece of art. His face was simply captivating in unexplainable way. His eyes were a a sharp piercing green that looked like they were burning with flames. His hair was a dark midnight black that fell effortlessly on his head.

I knew he was the creature but this time felt much different. The invisible tether between us felt somehow stronger. It all felt so natural, it was beyond peculiar.

"Sallos...?" I whispered, the rain drowning out my voice but he seemed like he heard me.

His jaw tensed again as he stared me down. One of his hands were tucked into his pocket as he rubbed in his chin with the other like he was internally debating something. This moment felt all too bizarre. He looked so human as he stood there in the rain.

"I don't understand any of this..." I shouted to him "why won't you just leave me alone?"

For the first time I saw a small smirk emerge across his face. I was shocked at how simple and familiar this felt. He took a few steps towards me, making me back up defensively.

I felt my back hit against the hard bark of a tree. The man was now unnervingly close to me. I was suddenly very aware that this man was capable of hurting me.

He put both of his large hands on the tree, pinning me in one spot. My breathing was heavy as the rain poured down on the two of us. His stare was intense and his eyes were the deepest green I had ever seen.
