chapter 1 Moving in.

Lapis's POV:
“Alrighty Lapis! This is your new apartment!”

Steven said enthusiastically, He's my...brother? We've known each other since middle school. He's a few years younger when we where in middle school I was in 8th and he was in 6th, so we have different friend groups but every once in a while I'll hang out with his friends.

“Soooo... What do you think?”

Steven seemed a little nervous to ask the question..he always seemed on edge around me like I was gonna blow at any moment or something.

“Its...cozy?”

I didn't know how to feel about it, it was a modern apartment 2 bed 2 bath with a bouncy that has a view. Sadly I had to share the apartment because I don't have a job to support myself in my own apartment YET I could get my mom to pay for my rent but I want to be independent. My roommate seemed to like green. There was green plates in the sink and some alien plaid shirts skattered around the floor.

As I walk in the apartment more it smelled like... cleaning products? For the most part once I turned to a room that seemed to have green LED lights turned on it was like there was a strong smell of Doritos and dirty clothes, I didn't know what to think about that honestly.

“Do you need help moving in?..”

Steven said breaking me out of my little world.

“uhh...no.”

I look over to see 2 bags of clothes 5 boxes and that was pretty much it, I didn't have much really it was mostly decorations in the boxes.

“if you say so!”

Steven said giving me a thumbs up. I gave him a thumbs up copying his movements and then he waddled away.(waddle waddle)

Alright, now I'm doing this solo.

I started to stack 2 of the boxes on top of each other and carry them into my part of the apartment, my room was big it had a mirror on the door to my closet and next to the closet was a bathroom.

As I brought in the two boxes and sat them down on the floor next to the door I went to get the last 3 boxes which I could easily carry.

As I walk to the boxes and pick up the boxes I hear a high pitched yell it sounded like a 12 year old ragging on Fortnite.

I immediately put down the boxes and went to investigate.

As I walk towards to sound I realize it came from the roommates room. I do not think I'm ready to see the person I'll spend the next few months with or even years.

I gulp as I put my ear on the door trying to listen to the voice.

“C'MONNN!!!!! AUUGGGGHHH YOU CLoOOoOoOOODDDDD!!!! IT WaSS RIgHT THEeERE ARE YOU FUCKIING STupID!??”

Said the voice it had many voice cracks, to many the person sounded like a kid. Was I living with a kid!? Oh my fucking God.

“ Amethyst are you DUUMMMMBBBB!?.........NO! you could have gotten it. You're so STOOOPID!!.................. No I'm DONE.”

I heard what seemed like the child was on call with someone. I heard a slam it seemed like the kid slammed something on a hard surface.

“I'll be back I need to piss.”

The voice said as I heard it approaching me at a rapid speed. FUCK.

I remove my ear from the door and just stand there in a frozen panic as I see the door knob turn.
