For the Bloodhounds, attending charity events is not our thing. It's a social gathering event where people would talk and have to talk about business. Ares and Mason are fans because they love to hear other people's bullshit so they can blackmail them.
But this charity event is different because it's a worldwide event to help almost extinct animals. Who the fuck cares about animals? Certainly not the elites.
"I'm going to grab some drink." Daisy excused herself to go to the ballroom, leaving Luna and me alone. I have my arm wrapped around her waist, holding her possessively. I leaned down to her ear and whispered, "Don't even think about slipping away from me."
"And what if I do?"
"You'll see." I stood up straight and led her into the ballroom. People turned their attention to us. Some are whispering, some are glaring, and some are smiling, trying to get our attention.
My eyes landed on Ares and Mason, talking to each other. We walked towards them, Ares turned to me, and Mason followed his vision.
"And here I thought you were lying..." Ares said as we stood between them. "This is Luna Morris, my girlfriend. Luna, this is Ares Young and Mason Calland." I introduced her to them. Mason smiled widely as he put his hand out. Luna almost took it, but I glared at him. "No touching," I warned.
"Nice to meet you, Mason." Luna grabbed his hand before he could pull it back. I glared at Mason, and Ares chuckled, "I like this one." Luna turned to Ares, looking at him with questioning eyes. It's so easy to trigger her jealousy. I'm loving her reaction too much.
"Nice to meet you, Ares." She said, putting her hand out, but I pushed it away.
"So I've heard that you're a painter? I would love to be your model?" Ares said, looking straight at Luna. "I'll let her paint you when you're dead." I hissed, and Luna chuckled.
"Clyde, that's not nice. I bet you'll be crying for me when I'm dead." Ares said dramatically, and Mason was being his cold self.
"Who do we have here?" I turned to see Anastasia. She held Mason's hand and kissed him on the cheek. "You have a death wish, do you?" Ares looked straight at Anastasia, who ignored him.
"Clyde, introduce us," Anastasia said, and I turned to Luna. "Luna, this is Anastasia Creed. Ana, this is Luna." Anastasia put her hand out, and Luna looked like she was hesitating. "I don't bite." Ana joked, and Luna took her hand.
"I like your makeup. It's cute," Ana said nonchalantly. "Thanks, I guess." Luna smiled awkwardly, and Ana turned to Mason.
"I'm going to mingle around, babe." Anastasia gave Mason a peck on his lips, causing Mason to push her away so hard that she almost fell. "You're so fucked." Kayden grabbed her in time.
"Go away, Ana. I'm not in the mood to pick up your corpse tonight." Mason hissed. "Don't be mean, Calland. I know you care about me." With that, Ana walked away.
"I'm Kayden, the handsome friend." I pushed him towards Mason before Luna could grab his hand. "I'm Luna."
"You owe me a thousand dollars." Kayden turned to Ares Ares glared at him in return. "They were betting on me," I said, and Luna turned to me.
"What did they bet?"
"I told them I have a girlfriend, and Kayden believed it but not Ares." Luna chuckled. "Ares won the bet, and I'm not Clyde's girlfriend." She clapped her hands while looking at Ares. Ares gave Kayden a middle finger.
"I would love to be your model for free, 5 dollars fee if you want me naked," Ares said, and I kicked his shin. Luna laughed while nodding.
"Don't be mean!" Luna elbowed me.

I told Daisy yesterday that I was nervous about meeting Clyde's friends because they looked scary. I saw their photos, and all of them seemed so intimidating.
Ares seemed nice and friendly even though his face looked so cold and unapproachable. When he joked about being my model, it broke the ice immediately. I think I can get along with him just fine.
As for Kayden, he looked friendly, but he was not talkative. He seems like the boy next door when he smiles, but when he doesn't, he looks like a bad boy who is ready to eliminate everyone that is in his way.
Mason was as cold as the north pole. He's so mean to his fiancee and doesn't give a fuck about anyone. He doesn't talk to other people than his friends. The scene where he pushed Ana shocked me. She's his fiancee, for god sake.
As for the fifth member, he never came, and Clyde never mentioned him either. He's the most private, and Daisy told me people call him The Ghost. People knew so little about him, and he usually never came to this event.
I was busy sipping my champagne, and I noticed that people were looking at the guys curiously, but none dared to go up and talk.
"So you don't go talk to people?" I asked Clyde, and the three men turned to me. "We're friendly, but people think we bite," Ares answered.
"They don't want to be on our bad side, Butterfly. We're not that nice." Clyde answered.
"Here she comes," Kayden said, and Anastasia came and held Mason's hand tightly. She even hid behind him.
"I told you that you're fucked." Kayden chuckled, looking at Anastasia, who made herself a human shield. "I'm not in a mood to fuck around, Ana!" Mason pulled her to the front, and I turned to see who she was running from.
He's here.
The fifth member of The Bloodhounds. He walked through the sea of people, everyone was shocked to see him there. He's wearing a dark grey tailor-made suit that fits his lean but muscular body. His dark bluish-grey eyes were set on Anastasia, who was trying to escape.
"Let's bury her at the headquarters tonight."
