Despite her claims to be an ordinary convenience store owner, Mugen Rei is observed to have terrible luck in encountering numerous Ability users within the city of Yokohama.
She doesn't even live near the territory of any of the ability-based groups, for gods' sake; why do they keep crashing through her windows and destroying her shop?!

Mugen Rei sighs quietly as a figure crashes through the window of her store, effectively shattering it. She merely pulls out a sheet of paper and adds a tally to a growing amount - already planning on asking for compensation by the responsible party when the moment arises. With that simple matter out of the way, she ducks beneath the counter for a moment when gunfire spreads across the store from outside - another tally, another debt to collect at a later date.
Waiting a moment to clarify that the spread of bullets is done for the moment, she looks up at the live feed of the cameras, secretly placing a portal beneath the guy that had crashed through the window the moment that the row he had landed in was confirmed. Setting the portal exit at a point next to her, she watches with a small amount of amusement as he once again falls to the floor, a box of painkillers falling just after and dropping onto his head.
"Wh-what?"
He sounds so confused at what has just occurred that she can't help but snort lightly, inevitably drawing his attention to her as she cackles quietly at his slight misfortune. However, she quiets down quickly enough when another spray of bullets hit, and finds herself grateful that her portals tend to close automatically if she's not focused on keeping them open.
Quiet as the two of them are now, despite the ruckus outside, she waves jovially at the teenager - for he can't be anything more than that, tiger paws for hands disregarding - before her. He stares at her in confusion for a few moments longer, but shakes himself out of it and nods at her, leaping over the counter to go join back into the fray.
"I'll try to come back to help pay for the damages!" he shouts behind himself as he goes, and Rei shakes her head in amusement, pulling down her damages tally to double the amount needed from today.
