After the Fall

Chapter 2

Hey guys, the first two chapters were introductory so this one I'm going to try to make longer and more in depth with the plot that I've chosen.

Kaneki woke up with a groan. Suddenly remembering what happened, he tried to get up only to pushed back down by someone.

"Stop moving, you just woke up." said Touka.

"Where's Hide?" the boy asked, remembering what happened.

"The guy stabbed you and you are still wondering where he went!? Damn Kaneki!" yelled Touka as she got up and left before Kaneki could explain what actually happened.

"Touka!" Kaneki yelled after her, hoping that she would stop and he would be able to explain. After not hearing her stopping, he just sighed and tried to get up again. He managed to, but his stomach was a little sore from having a hole in it. Felling a bit better now that he was on his feet, he walked downstairs to the coffee shop to try to find Touka.

"Hey Kaneki! Are you feeling better now?" asked Koma.

"Much better, thank you." Kaneki responded with a smile. "Where did Touka go?"

"She just took her break so get changed and then get to work." Koma said.

"You sound just like her." Kaneki groaned.

"Someone has to boss you around." The man teased. Kaneki just went upstairs to go change. Once he was done, he went downstairs and busied himself taking orders and making coffee. Half-way through his shift, a girl with black hair walked in.

"Hello! I'm here to apply for a job?" the girl asked Kaneki.

He looked up from making coffee to see a pretty girl talking to him. "Oh! I'm sorry what did you say?" Kaneki asked.

She giggled at him, "It's okay, it looked like you had your mind on something. I said that I was here to apply for a job opening."

"Well let me go get the manager, could I ask your name?" the boy asked.

"Amaya, what's yours?" She replied.

"I'm Kaneki , well I'm gonna go get the manager now."

"Alright." She smiled at him when he turned to go to the back. He came back with an older looking man that seemed to be content.

"Hello, I'm Yoshimura, Kaneki said that you are here for a job?" The manager asked Amaya.

"Yes, please." The girl said respectfully to the man.

"Well, follow me to the back and I will interview you." the manager said. The girl nodded happily and then followed the man to the back.
