(Carlo is the fourth king of Volturi. Carlo is also Caius younger brother. Caius is very protective and obsessed with his brother so to make sure he never leaves he locked his brother in the castle. The other kings agree since Carlo has the power to kill anyone with a snap of his finger. But even though he's locked up he is the hidden king. This is based on the battle with the Cullens and Volturi.)
Carlo sighs as he's sitting in the Library reading. He hears his brother walk in and kneel in front of him. Carlo looks at his brother and nods telling him to talk. Caius grabs his brothers hands and said "There is a war coming up and we need you on our team." Carlo knows that he can't say no so he nods yes. He looks into his brothers eyes and says "May I know who we are fighting and why?" Caius smiles at his younger brother and says "The Cullens and because they made a immortal child." Carlo nods "Yea I'll fight." In his mind he didn't wanna fight his old friend but being scared of his brother and the others he agrees. He hopes that made he can convince someone on the Cullens side to save him. Caius smiles happily and hugs his brother "I knew you would agree. I'm so glad we have you baby brother." Caius let go of his brother and stood up before going back to his emotionless face and leaving the library.
(At the Cullens house)
Alice's eyes haze over as Jasper wraps his arms around his best friend. He holds her and says "It's okay Alice." Alice comes back and said "They had a hidden weapon. He doesn't look like he's happy where he is but that all I can see." Carlisle looks at his daughter and said "A hidden weapon? I wonder who it is." He try's to think then gasps "Wait what did he look like?" Alice looks at her dad still in her best friends arms "He was blond with red eyes. He looked upset and tired." Carlisle nods looking upset "I thought he was dead." Esme realizes who it is and hugs her husband "Hey now that we know he is alive we can finally save him." Edwards steps up and says "Who is this person?" Carlisle sighs "The guy Alice saw was or is Caius' younger brother. Caius is obsessed and protective of his brother. I thought they killed Carlo because Caius was bragging how his brother would never leave him." Everyone looks sick and upset that someone could do that to there family. Bella looks around at everyone before saying "We save him." Everyone looked at Bella and said "What?" Bella glared "We save him! He shouldn't have to go through that pain!" Some people argue but after awhile they all agree to save the male.
(On the battle field)
Caius holds onto his younger brother arm to keep him beside him. Carlo keeps his head down not wanting to look up. He finally looks up when he hears a slap. He meets eyes with a blond who has gold eyes. He gasps as his brother pulls him behind him and growls at the male "Kill him now! He is not allowed near my brother!" Carlo breaks free of his brothers tight grip and jumps in front of the male "No he's my mate." Aro goes to grabs Carlo before getting pushed back by Carlo who uses his powers to push everyone in the Volturi back a bit. He growls at the kings as he says "He's mine! I've let you abuse me for so long but I will not let y'all kill my mate!" Aro and Caius both step forward. Carlo growls at the same time Aro says "You were reckless, sentimental at best. That's not a teaching of mine. You've grown soft, your dead friends can attest." Carlo grabs Alice and pulls her behind him too "Hey! There not dead!" Caius stands straight in front of his brother "Put your emotions aside! You're a warrior meant to lead the rest! I don't know where I went wrong. But I warned ya', and you failed the test." Marcus grabs Carlo and throws him away from the two other vampires. The other kings walk closer to Carlos who stand up to look at the other kings. Marcus glared at the male as he says "This way, you'll know what your place is!" Aro smirks and says "This way, you can't cross the line" Caius touches his brothers shoulder as he says "This way, when all is over you'll keep yours and I'll keep mine!" Aro lands in front of Carlos as he says "This way, you won't disappoint me!" Marcus turns and looks at Jane and Alec who both are trying to figure out who to protect . He turns back to Carlos and says "This way, you won't waste my time." Caius tightens his hand on his brothers arm "This way, I'll finally close the door! I'll lock you up like I should have done." Carlo shoves his brothers arm of him and spins around to face him "That's just likе you, why should I be surprised? Selfish and pridеful and vain! Unlike you, every time someone dies I'm left to deal with the strain! What's a title that a king of vampires could lend if I'll never sleep at night?" He turns and glared at the other two kings before pointing at Marcus "I'll remind you I saw you as a friend! But now we're done!" He growls and runs off back to his mate and Alice. "This way, you're out of my head now! This way, you won't plague my life! This way, when all is done, you're out of sight and out of mind! This way, you get what you wanted! This way, you can save your time! This way, you close the door and have your damn goodbye!" He pulls his mate into his arms at the same time he grabs onto Alice and runs them to their family. He hands them both to Carlisle before smiling at his old friend before turning to walk back to the middle of the field. He feels a hand grab him as he is turned around to face his mate who try's to keep him next to him. Carlo turns around as he hear Aro say "I mistook you for a general what a waste of effort spent!" Carlo groans as he says "At least I know what I'm fighting for! While you're fighting to be known! Since you claim you're so much wiser! Why's your life spent all alone?" He points at Caius and says "You're Alone." Caius takes of running at his brother as he says "One day, you'll hear what I'm saying! One day, you might understand! One day, but not today, for after all you're..." He never gets to finish his sentence because Carlo jumps into the air and rips his brothers head off. He smirks as he lands holding his brothers head. He turns and looks at the others and says "This day, you sever your own head! This day, you cut the line! This day, you lost it all! Consider this as my goodbye!" He snaps his fingers and watches as both Aro and Marcus both drop dead "Consider this my goodbye!" Carlo gets pulled into his mates arms why the rest of the Volturi look at Carlo waiting for the order. He smiles at Jane and Alec and says "We won't fight tonight. Jane take everyone home and make sure they are okay. Alec make sure everyone knows I am the new king." Alec nods at the same time Jane says "You are finally free Carlo go travel and be with your mate for a bit. We will call you when there is a emergency but we can deal with anything else." Carlo smiles and turns around to his mate before being pulled into a kiss. He swore if he was human he would be blushing. Carlisle laughs and says "Well welcome back Carlo. I thought you was dead are me and Esme would have saved you a long time ago." Carlo pulls away from his mate and smiles at his best friend "I know you would have. That's why my brother made it seem like he killed me like Aro killed his sister."
