Damian took a deep breath in, looking at his reflection with a nervous toothy grin, trying to ignore the beads of sweat already rolling down his face—because today was the day.

The day he'd finally ask Anya Forger to be his girlfriend.

He had it all planned out! He bought the most expensive bouquet of juliet rose's his father—or more like butler—would let him, he got a big bag of Anya's favorite peanuts, he even got her a teddy bear for good measure!

But he was still terrified.

What if she said no? He had to be honest with himself, there was no reasonable reason she'd say yes. Sure, Damian is a Desmond. Any girl would love to get with him and become one themself—but Anya wasn't just any girl. She didn't seem to care about things like that—hell, she was proud of her father's little six figure salary!

Not to mention he was kind of a jerk to her nearly all her life. Yeah, he's apologized since then and they're friends now, but he can't take back all those years.

Damian sighed, leaning his head against the mirror in front of him. Who was he kidding? There was no way he'd have enough confidence to do this. He'd probably just end up making Anya mega-uncomfortable...

"Damian!!" Emile called out, making the green haired boy shoot his head back up and towards the voice. "We have to leave or we'll be late!"

Damian looked back to his desk, trying to decide if he would go through with his plan or not, but when Ewen practically screamed "LORD DAMIAN!!!" he let out a groan and ran to his desk. Grabbing his things for school, leaving the things for Anya. (There was always tomorrow, right?)

Damian yelled back in a spiteful tone, saying "I'm coming!" before leaving his room and going to meet his roommates.

"Where are the flowers and stuff for Anya?" Ewen asked the second Damian walked up. Damian felt his face flush from the question. He swung his bag over his shoulder, walking in front of the two as he grumbled, "Don't worry about it."

Emile chuckled as the group began walking to school, a devilish smirk on the blond's face. "You chickened-out, huh?"

The blush on Damians face immediately turned up, going from a soft pink to a neon. "I said don't worry about it!" He responded, making his friends laugh.

"Oh Lord Damian, I've never seen you so nervous!" Emile pointed out mockingly, leaving Ewen the perfect opportunity to tease as the group walked outside. "Aside from the other times you talk to Anya."

The two snickered together as Damian tried his hardest to not blush anymore—but he quickly gave up on that dream when he saw a pink head of hair walking towards the school.

"Anya! Hey!" He called out, smiling happily as he ran down to the pinkette and brunette she was talking to, making sure to make threatening—but light-hearted, of course—gestures to his friends as he did.

"Oh! Hi sy-on boy." Anya said back, smiling as Damian began walking with her and Becky. "Hi Damian~" The brunette spoke, a knowing smirk on her face. It seemed like the whole school knew he liked Anya at this point—well, besides Anya, thank god.

"Soooo..." Anya longed out, smirking at the green haired boy as they walked, "I betcha' can go anywhere pretty fast with those disgustingly long legs of yours, huh?"

Damian furrowed his brows, «Disgustingly long legs??» his brain repeated. "Uh... Yeah? I guess...?"

Suddenly, Anya's cute little smirk turned into that terrifying grin of hers, and then, without warning, the pinkette jumped onto Damians back, wrapping her legs around his waist and yelling "GIDDY UP!"
