Arachnophobia: Fear of Spiders (Spider-like pokemon)

You and Red were visiting Professor Kikui to talk about plans for the battle tree and future contests in Alola. By the time you all had finished, the moon was glowing brightly. "You kids sure you don't wanna stay here for the night? I got plenty of room!" Kikui offered, but Red shook his head. You smiled kindly, "Thanks Professor, but I need to speak with Hala anyway about a location for the contest hall here anyway. So we're gonna stay in Iki Town tonight. We should be going though." "Well alright, careful on your way over. Alola!" He waved. You and Red waved back before setting for route 1.

With the full moon overhead, your trek toward Iki Town wasn't a terrible walk, and multiple pokemon were still out and about, including a small Pichu nibbling on an oran berry "Aw red look!" You gently kneeled down by the Pichu who looked at you curiously. Red watched, smiling softly at your form. You tried to coax the Pichu closee, but there was suddenly a rustle in the grass. The Pichu's ears perked up before it ran, making you pout. "Aw...I wonder what -" You were cut off suddenly by a pokemons cry. 'Spinarak!' You felt your body straighten and freeze. Red seemed to notice your body change and laid a questioning hand on your shoulder.

A small green Spinarak wandered out from the grass, coming closer to you. You stood up immediately and practically climbed onto Red's back. "Let's go, let's go, let's go!" You almost screamed, trying not to startle the spider pokemon. Red, sensing your fear, just started quickly moving away, giving you a Spoink back ride to Ike Town.

It was that day he learned to keep you away from Pokemon like that.

Spectrophobia: Fear of Ghosts

"Hey, doll?" Blue asked as you finished up training with your Hitmontop. You wiped sweat from your brow and smiled as he approached. "Hey Blue! Need something?" You turned to face him fully, smiling sweetly. Blue scratched the back if his neck sheepishly, "I'm making a trip to visit an old friend, and I was hoping you'd come with me? I could use you there.." There was a tinge of sadness to his voice. You gently took his hand in yours and intertwined your fingers, "I'll go with you. Where are we going?"

You had a death grip around Blue's waist as his Pidgeot flew you toward Lavendar Town. You had never told Blue about your massive fear of ghosts and ghost pokemon. Lavendar Town and Ecruteak City were the hardest parts of your journey to become Champion. But Blue needed you, and if supporting him meant going to Lavendar Town, you'd do it.

You both finally landed in front of the Pokemon Tower. Blue returned his Pidgeot and gently took your hand, guiding you inside. Your legs shook with every step closer inside.

Blue guided you inside and up to the gravestone where his beloved Raticate was laid to rest. He didn't immediately notice the tight grip you had on his hand, or your flinching as Gastly and Haunter briefly passed by, trying to pull you into some fun. "Raticate..buddy.. I miss you...hope you're doing ok..." Blue placed a hand on the stone etching. You watched him in silence until he was ready to go. This time, he did note how pale your face was and how fast you were making your way out of the Tower.

As soon as you stepped out, you took a long, deep breath. "Doll? You ok?" You nodded quickly. "F-fine Blue. Are you ok?" Blue nodded and pulled you close to him. "What happened back there? You looked terrified as we left?" You sighed and leaned onto his chest. "Ghosts just really scare me...so I was on edge while we were in there.." Blue gently lifted your face, staring into your eyes. "Why'd you agree to come then? Why didn't you say anything?" "You needed me...so I didn't want to let my stupid fear get in the way of being there for you.." Blue smiled and held you close. "I love you [Name].."
