Chapter 25

He smiled and stood up, Radiowave bouncing along side him as they walked out and to the room. They entered it to find Megatron and Knockout waiting for them.

Megatron nodded to Soundwave. "Activate the spacebridge." Turning to Knockout. Meanwhile Valena nervously climbed back up to Soundwave's neck cables and sat in them.

The groundbridge swirled into life in its bright colors. For a while, nothing happened until the center darkened and something started coming through.

Valena laid her hand on one of the cables, starting to shake a little.

"It’s ok." Soundwave whispered.

A bot came out soon but he looked nothing like Soundwave. He was big, with a bulky build and his head was one, big red eye with antenna on the top that lifted as he looked around. A large cannon replaced where his left forearm would have been with a cord that attached it to his back. He seemed to monitor everyone in the room as he stopped and looked around.

Valena gulped seeing how different from Soundwave he was. Not moving an inch. The cannon wasn't too inviting either.

But Radio broke into a sprint and ran at him. "Uncle!" She yelled happily. Shockwaves head snapped towards her as she jumping on him, wrapping her arms around his neck and making him stumble a bit but the con soon laughed, grabbing her in a one armed hug as he could just kind of wrap the top of his left arm around her.

Valena smiled, hearing the laughter. Looking at him made her think he was hot headed or cold, but the fact he was laughing seemed to reassure her a little, but not much.

"There’s my little Wave." He said happily though his voice was very monotonous and his eye stayed the same with little expression. "It’s logical you’ve gotten this big considering how long it’s been."

"It’s logical you’re still using that word." She laughed, dropping to the floor.

She lightly laughed at Radio's comment. Covering her mouth with her hand.

Shockwave turned to look at her and Soundwave before he and Radio walked over. "And this must be the human Knockout told me about." He said looking right at her.

"My name is Valena, sir." She replied, quickly hiding her nervousness with her head up high like when Soundwave grabbed her.

He noticed and playfully poked her, "Since when were you so formal?" He whispered as Shockwave continued to watch them.

"He is the older brother is he not? Usually you respect your elders." She hissed through her teeth at Soundwave, before looking back at Shockwave.

"I respect you for addressing me as such but it would not be necessary," Shockwave said, his eye tilting, "I think it would be better if you just refer to me by my name."

"I understand, Shockwave. I hope you were happy when Knockout reached out to you. I'm sure at some point you must have missed your family while on Cybertron. It is only logical after all." She smiled gently while looking at him.

"It was a bit lonely," He admitted, "but then again, I did have someone to accompany me. Soundwave should remember one of the last things I spoke to him about."

"You’re not referring to what I think you’re referring to, are you?" The navy mech asked, his eyes slowly widening.

"Indeed I am," Shockwave said proudly.

"Why do I get the feeling you’d be smirking right now if you had a mouth?" His brother sighed.

"Probably cause he would be. It is normal for scientists after all, to be very prideful for their accomplishments." She commented, looking at Soundwave, before back at Shockwave.
