Chapter 20

"What's happening?!" Soundwave asked, looking around in confusion. Remix whined from the back, and Steve lunged to keep Radio’s head down as they swerved violently.

"You won't see them... it is why my radar isn't showing them." She explained as she speeded towards a rock wall. Just to dodge upwards at the last second, a great explosion sounded behind them. "There is one person who is able to detect my tech with ease. Silas, my father, was furiously wanting my tech, while my mother hated me for my TECH. She is the only one who managed to steal some of it. She has been out for blood since I was 12 years old." She explained. "I am willing to bet she has her shuttle invisible right now, I just can't see it." Just as the noise of static came through her speakers. "Stay quiet. Whatever you do. I'm serious." Her face filled with fear, but also a glare as she looked at them. Before she clicked something.
"Hello baby girl, it seems you still got your moves. How are you doing?" A shrill, female voice spoke. Her body went incredibly pale as she listened while driving. Focusing on everything. "Awe, not gonna answer. Anyways, you probably wonder why I am showing myself. I can't believe you actually found someone to love you, slagger. You are pathetic. You always will be. I will find who you love, and I will kill them. How do I know? Let's just say I got some reliable sources, a nice little jet told me. Just as I know you now have a daughter. Don't believe it. It's a lie." The voice was mean, filled with hate. Valena was biting her lip so hard that she was bleeding energon. Her knuckles held tightly onto the handle. As she kept looking at the map on her screen.
"Oh, you got nothing to say, well I found out you killed your father. Or did you? Did you forget about your science? I got a hold of it. He's alive, and he is furious. We don't need your science anymore. We'll destroy your dreams, works, everything. We got a little boy, you probably know him. Jack Darby, he will die in 3 days if you don't reveal yourself. I want your blood, or should I say energon? I will drink your blood, Valicious. You will die." The voice cut out. Tears on her face.

A strong hand suddenly wrapped around hers and she looked up to see Soundwave looking at her sternly, "Don't worry," he said, his voice firm. "They're not going to hurt him and they're not going to touch you."

"You don't know." She muttered fearfully. Looking away from him when another thing picked up on her radar. "No, no, no." She muttered as something hit the back of the car. She slammed her hand on a button that caused metal to fall over the back window that was now shattered. "Say goodbye to the fire." A recording cut through. She looked up to see another large object coming towards her and from the sides. She slammed more buttons, causing metal to fall on the windshield and the windows. As they hit from those sides, too. The windows all shattered as an eerie screech sounded, shrill, and it hurt the ears badly. She wasn't able to focus as she threw her hands over her ears while it seemed they couldn't hear it. Her head throbbed as she was unable to fight. She looked up as her ears bled. Pushing the last few buttons that shut everything off, making them sink into the trench. Pushing a button to open her windshield to see a large boulder falling towards the car. She quickly reved whatever was left of her engine. Fuel leaking from her car. The engine stuttered as she managed to slide it into a crevice, rock falling in place and crushing the car. Specifically, the side she was on was on as the metal crushed onto her.

Someone grabbed her arms and Soundwave pulled her away, using his hands to protect her head while she heard Radio give a muffled cry from the back as she huddled with the others, her hands starting to pulse like a force was pushing at them.

"I'm sorry." Valena mumbled in tears. "The car is stuck. At least you can deactivate your holoforms. I won't be able to leave. The air filters have stopped working. The car is being crushed. I can't leave." She mumbled her left shoulder bled from the crushed metal of her car. The metal creaked as it was slowly crushed. "You should leave while you have a chance. I don't want you to see me die." She mumbled. Not looking at him. "I'm sorry, Radio. I'm an awful mother."
