'What did I even expect?' [Name] sighed internally as she watched the rambunctious group from the cafeteria's entrance. Beside her stood Nanase and Hiori who similarly held a tired look on their faces.
They've barely approached the entrance and they could already hear the loud laughs and chatter from the so-called 'friends' they were going to meet up and eat with.
"Please tell me they're not the friends you were talking about." She said blandly, her demeanor turning tired just by looking at how energetic they were. Although her statement was a bit stupid, it never hurt to ask for a miracle of some sort.
"Unfortunately, they are..." Nanase spoke with a kind yet regretful smile. "They're good people when you get to know them, I swear! You just need to get used to them..." As much as he tried to defend his friends, even the tone he used held a bit of doubt.
[Name] grumbles lightly at that as she wondered if it wasn't too late to turn back and pretend she was never here. Unfortunately for her though, one of the people in the table they were looking at somehow noticed their presence despite being so far away.
"Look! It's Hiori and Nanase!" A brown-haired teen with yellow highlights in the bottom of his hair pointed in their direction causing the rest of the group to turn and call for their friends. [Name] couldn't help but slowly slip back behind the boys she was with only to be slowly pulled along once more before she could get away.
A small sigh left her lips as she followed along eventually. Nanase was quick to say his greetings as a dark-haired boy with ocean-blue eyes ruffled his hair while Hiori too was greeted by the other people at the table.
The only female watched the interaction with passive eyes, her hands crossed across her chest, as she tapped her foot impatiently. Once they were done with the greetings, Hiori was quick to introduce [Name].
"Oh, right!" He clears his throat as he points his hands in her direction as if presenting her to the others. "This is a new student in my class! She just arrived today. Her name is [Name] and I hope you don't mind me bringing her along..."
An awkward silence seemed to form in the group as they observed the female. Dark hair that almost looked green, a familiar shade of teal eyes, and long lashes that were deemed as a trademark for a certain pair of brothers in their school. They immediately made the connection that she looked far too much like an Itoshi, more specifically, Rin Itoshi.
Before someone could voice out what they were all thinking though, Nanase was quick to make a cross symbol with his arms while shaking his head urgently from behind [Name] and Hiori. Everyone blinked at him in confusion before Isagi got the message.
Clearing his throat as well, he gave the girl a small smile. "Nice to meet you, [Name]! Feel free to join us for lunch." He then brings his hand for a handshake. "My name's Isagi Yoichi." He introduces himself as he stares at her.
[Name] merely narrows her eyes before clicking her tongue and rolling her eyes in a way that could chatter any man's ego. 'Yep, definitely an Itoshi.' Isagi thinks emptily as an imaginary trail of blood escapes his lips, an arrow bring shot in his heart. This is the exact feeling he gets whenever he interacts with Rin, that feeling of inferiority and belittlement.
"Oh, oh! I'm Bachira!" The first person who noticed them was quick to spring up to introduce himself happily to the female. [Name] couldn't help but scrunch her face at both the brightness and the close-proximity the male had. "Nice to meet 'cha, [Name]-chan!"
"Hi..." She says simply as Bachira continues to grin at her, not at all deterred by her cold and dry response. Out of everyone, excluding Hiori and Isagi, he was one of the only people who could handle Rin's cold and reserved personality without taking it to heart.
