Sorry for fans who haven't finished the series, SKIP THIS CHAPPY IF YOU HAVENT FINISHED THE SERIES! *pauses* ok they left. Anyway I just didn't feel like Arty's death was dramatic enough, I mean sure I was still sobbing into the cold hard ground as I let the Earth slowly reclaim me- *ahem* I mean, uh I'll try to make it how I would have viewed it. *Note* all characters belong to Eion Colfer, as does the first part of the paragraph below
"There was no more time for questions. The green mist was sucked backward into the Berserker Gate as though drawn by a vacuum. For a moment Artemis was left standing, unharmed, and Butler dropped Holly to rush to his charge's side. Then Artemis's fairy eye glowed green, and by the time Butler caught the falling boy in his arms, Artemis Fowl's body was already dead." (Now my part)
"Artemis!" Holly shouted as she ran to him as well. She saw him, still, not moving as Butler held him. Holly started to panic. "No, no! No! Come on Mudboy! Get up!" Holly's voice broke. "Please." Holly placed her hands on Artemis's arm, trying to find a pulse. "No" she said firmly. "No. Heal!" Blue sparks flew out of her hands and hovered around Artemis's body. Then they flew and healed various wounds on herself and Butler. "No, stop!" Holly shook her head stubbornly, sending the magic flying. "Heal!" She tried again. The sparks still flew around healing herself and Butler. Holly tried two more times, but on the third no magic came. It had already healed all the wounds it could. Holly started to cry.
Butler gently shook her away from Artemis's body, tears slowly dripping off his face. "Holly," Butler said softly. "He-" She turned away, sobbing. "It should have been me. I could have saved him." Butler put an arm around her. She pulled away. "I- I have to tell Foaly. The mission- Opal's dead." Just like Artemis...
