Chapter 9: Marshall's flashbacks part 1

Marshall was in shock for who opened the door in front of him he started to tear up, he didn't even speak he ran towards the person and hugged them with tears running down his face it was soaking his fur wet but he didn't care "I missed you.." the person he was hugging was his mom, the older female Dalmatian hugged Marshall back with her two front paws, Misty was Marshall's mom name. Marshall let go of his mom from the hug to use his paws to wipe his tears away from his face Marshall looked up at his mom with a smile and she smiled back, "Come in Marshall let's go inside so we can talk more" Misty started to walk into the house before she turned her head to see that Marshall wasn't following her, he was looking down at the ground, Misty notice that Marshall didn't have his paw patrol pup tag or his collar but he had his fireman helmet on and his vest on to, and having his fire truck too. Misty had a feeling that something bad happened at adventure bay if Marshall was here and was by himself with no pups or Ryder.

"Marshall? Did something bad happen at the lookout tower or at Adventure Bay? I can tell there's something wrong..can you please tell me..? And your dad..we can talk inside I just need you to come inside" Marshall let out a sigh before looking at his mom with a nod "I need to get my stuff out of my firetruck that I packed" Misty nodded "Alright I'll be inside" Misty would walk off into the house, Marshall started walk to his firetruck and picked up his bag with his mouth, he started to walk back to the house with the bag in his mouth before he stopped in his tracks and turned his head left to see his dark side was sitting across the street just smiling and waving at him but it wasn't giving a creepy smile it was giving a nice smile, it made Marshall confused on why it seem like his dark side was being nice? It made Marshall a little bit Paranoid, Marshall sat his bag down before he shaked his head making his fireman helmet almost fall off he caught it with one of his paws and put it back on then he looked at where his darkside was at and it was gone the darkside was no longer sitting across the road. "How am I going to tell them about my dark side..? Are my own parents going to think I'm a monster too? Or will they kick me out like Ryder and the pups did..? I hope not.." Marshall mumbled to himself before he picked up his bag and entered the house.

As Marshall walked into the house he looked around and saw tones of pictures, it was pictures of him when he was a little baby and some of him as a newborn it made him smile a lot and made his tail wag, then he came across pictures of him being at adventure bay and the lookout tower for the first time, it was a picture of him, Chase, Ryder in a group picture Chase and Marshall were the first ones to join the Paw Patrol and to start the Paw Patrol, Marshall and Chase were like brothers to each other. Marshall shaked his head before he give a light snarl to the picture and walked off, he didn't want to remember the memories of the good times that turned into hell so quickly, having everyone turn against him even Chase, the one he called his brother is no longer his brother to him anymore.

Marshall made it to where his parents were at in the house and he sat his bag down that he still had in his mouth and went to hug his dad, Marshall's dad name was Blaze, Blaze hugged Marshall back with his front paws too. Marshall let go of his dad before he looked up at the two, "Can I talk to you guys about something? And can you both promise that you won't kick me out or call me a monster..? Like Ryder and the pups did.." Misty and Blaze were both shocked to hear that Marshall, their own son, was called a Monster and kicked out of a place where he always wanted to live and be at and chasing his dreams at what he does best and that's being a fire pup and saving people from fires. "Of course we won't Marshall! We love you no matter what!" Marshall smiled and hugged both of them before he let go and let out a deep sigh and started to tell them all what happened.

Marshall was explaining everything that happened since the day he almost died and getting his darkside, Marshall started to tear up when he started talking about all the stuff he did when he lost control of his dark side during those times the nightmares that possessed him, hurting animals and killing and eating them and almost killing his owner in front of the other pups.

"I-I'll never forgive..myself if I hurt someone I love and care deeply for..I can't control it sometimes that's why I ran away..but I knew you guys would understand all of this..but there's one more thing I want you guys to not do can you two please promise me that?"

Misty and Blaze both looked at each other before looking at Marshall "And what's that?"

"Please don't call Ryder or the pups and tell them that I'm here with you guys..I don't know what they would do to me if they found out.."

"We won't also we understand everything that you said and been thought and we love you no matter what Marshall..that's because your our son, and we would never forgive ourselves either if something bad happened to you too..you can stay here as long as you want, you can even still do your job! The city would love someone like you still doing your job! Doing what you do best, and Please Marshall, don't ever let anybody stop you from doing what you love the most, not even Ryder and the pups, alright? Don't let them get to your head your in a better place where people will care and love for you"

Marshall had the biggest smile on his face with tears in his eyes with his tail wagging, He let out a howl of happiness and hugged both of his parents he was so happy that he would still be able to do his Paw Patrol Job even if it was just by himself.

"I'm finally loved..I'm Happy.." Marshall mumbled to himself with a smile.

Soon Adventure Bay will break into chaos and they will need Marshall's help, but will he come back to save the ones he loves?
