Saving Marshall (Book: 1) (COMPLETED)

Chapter 17: A new hero, a new leader

The PAW Patrol would make it to where they needed to go, Marshall's eyes went wild when he saw burning huge flames right in front of them, his eyes glowing orange from the flames.

"Oh my god.." Marshall mumbled, the fire was huge biggest fire he's seen black smoke was starting to spread around the place and up into the air, Marshall had his shield over his eyes and his oxygen tank on too to help him breathe then looked back at his parents then at pups and Ryder.

"Put your shield and oxygen tanks on!" Marshall ordered them and so they did, once everyone had their shields and oxygen tanks on Marshall had a plan and he wasted no time, he looked down and saw a button that said "water cannon" Marshall slammed his paw on it and a huge water cannon came out of his fire truck and started blasting a huge amount of water towards the fire, his parents jumped out of the fire truck "mom and dad grab the water hoses and spray the water at the fire! The water hoses will go as long as they need!" Marshall looked back at his parents as they nodded in agreement. The two grabbed water hoses with their mouths and started to walk towards the flames and blasted fire at the flames.

Marshall turned his head to Ryder and the pups, "Chase I want you to block people from coming here and running into the flames to save others, Rocky I need you to build something that it'll stop the fire spreading even more, Zuma, you can help my parents blast the water at fire, Sky and Rubble save the people and take care of their injuries they might have, And I'll run into the flaming buildings and save the ones inside, and I'll be okay.." Marshall looked down his fireman helmet covering his eyes before looking back up his eyes would be pure black with red glowing flame pupils, "I promise" Everyone nodded to Marshall's orders and everyone ran off to do their own stuff that they were ordered to do.

Marshall jumped out of his firetruck and bolted to the burning flames, he could feel the heat the smoke, and the flames all around him, the fire was strong, Marshall's teeth grin to each other as he jumped and slammed himself into a glass window breaking it, Marshall slide on the ground his paws being slightly cut from the glass but he wasn't to bugged by it, he looked up and saw people in fear struggling to breathe, Marshall turned his head to see the door was stuck that's why he broke through the glass window.

The Building was falling apart, Marshall looked up seeing that the roof could collapse at any minute, "C'mon everyone out! OUT THE WINDOW!" Marshall yelled so the people could hear him, everyone was getting out of the building, Marshall helped a few people to get out of the building, "Is that everyone!?" Marshall asked the people as they shook their heads no, Marshall's heart dropped and his pupils sank "where the others?" "In the back of the store.." the person pointed at door to the back of the store seeing where all the black smoke was coming out of, it was pure black it looked something out of a horror movie, just pure darkness waiting to get its hands on anything and even one, Marshall looked as he gulped in fear "I'll get them! You guys get checked out!" Marshall ran towards the door where black smoke was just pouring out at, "I can do this.." Marshall mumbled to himself as he entered the back of the store, he turned his flashlight on that was on his fireman helmet to help him to see, it wasn't enough but still helpful.

"HELLO! IS ANYBODY HERE! PLEASE RESPOND TO ME!" Marshall called out for anyone that was still in the building, it started to get hard to breathe, the smoke was stronger back here, "MARSHALL!?" Someone called out and Marshall ran towards the person who called out to him, he let out a gasp on who he saw it was, it was Katie from adventure bay "K-KATIE..?"

The young girl was covered in ashes and smoke having a hard time breathing, having some burns to the fire "Don't worry Katie I'll get you out of here! Is anyone else here with you?" Katie shook her head no it was just her, Marshall grunted and groaned as he lift and moved burning pieces of the building off Katie, he was surprised she didn't ask about his eyes, maybe Ryder or one of the pups told her about it, but that didn't matter right now he needed to save her life.

Katie cried out in pain as Marshall lifted a piece of burning building off her side. Her side was burned and bleeding badly, "oh god.." Marshall's pupils sank again as his heart dropped "W-what..? Is it bad?! Am i going to die!?" Katie asked as she was in horrible pain Marshall looked at her "no no!! Listen to me, you're not going to die! I will get you out of here I promise.."

"And..my side?" Katie refused to look at it, she could tell how bad it was by Marshall's reaction that's why he never answered when she asked.

"Cmon Katie, let's get you out of here.." Marshall helped her up and helped her walk, the young girl had her hand on her side grunting, the two were almost to the broken glass window that Marshall broke earlier, suddenly a weird smell came out of nowhere and made Marshall's nose twitch and looked to the smell and his stomach dropped, it was a gas that was flammable and was about to blow up, why hasn't it blown up already? It already should have been a long time ago.

"KATIE GO GO!" Marshall pushed her out of the window as the girl was pushed out of the window and pushed to safety, Marshall jumped out after Katie, then min Marshall jumped out of the window, the building blew up.

BOOM!

The loud boom sound made everyone's ears ring even the pups and Marshall, it sent everyone flying especially Marshall, Marshall was sent flying hitting the hard road and rolling against the ground feeling the heat on the ground, Marshall's vision was blurry and distorted as he turned his head to see the building that blew up in huge flames, he let out a small groan and grunt he let out a cough afterwards, then saw the pups running to him and even Ryder.

Marshall had burn marks and ashes on him and now his skin cut up from the impact of being sent flying from the explosion.

"Marshall!! You okay!? Chase was shaking Marshall who was barely able to keep his eyes open, his eyes looking weak as his eyes slowly turned to normal "Y-Yea..I'm okay..." Marshall groaned again in pain due to his burns and cuts "H-hows..Katie..?" Marshall asked and Chase smiled slightly "She'll be okay...the others came to help with the fire and injuries" Marshall grunted again as he struggled to breathe his lungs were clogged up from the smoke "I..I need air..I can't breathe.." Marshall said weakly.

"On it!" Chase bolted to a oxygen mask and came back to Marshall, and took his old one off noticing there was a hole in it that was probably why Marshall can't breathe it ripped during the mission, Chase used his paws to place it on Marshall's face and fresh new oxygen flowed into Marshall's body opening his airway and clearing out his lungs, it felt good and relaxed.

Marshall seemed to be doing better and taking in the air he needed, he seemed slightly sleepy but that was okay, the others noticed him trying to fall asleep and it was normal too after getting new oxygen flowed into his body it calmed Marshall's body, "G-guys let's go home.." Marshall said weakly again before turning his head seeing people were putting out the fire and seeing Katie being taken care of and he had a smile on his face. Marshall slowly fell asleep, his eyes drooped finally closing them.

Few hours later he was back home with the others, he was asleep on the couch, someone placed him there, his injuries were taken care of.

The party was in a few days Marshall remembered, his eyes shot open being bloodshot red and he sat up, and turned to look at the others who were smiling at him.

"Hey you feeling a lot better?" they asked him and Marshall nodded.

"Good! Now lets go get this party ready thats gonna happen in a few days cmon Marshall"

Everyone walked out of the outlook tower and Marshall followed and smiled.

"Finally..the party is almost here.." Marshall mumbled to himself
