The sun is setting low, a burning ball of fire sinking into the sea. The sky is aflame, streaks of pink and orange blending with purple clouds. Jay is staring, mesmerized, at the spectacle. Nya comes to stand beside him, slipping her hand into his.
"It's beautiful," he breathes. "I've never seen such an awesome sunset before."
"It is," she agrees. "But there's something missing."
He looks at her in confusion. "What is it?"
"You," she whispers, kissing him.
Jay smiles. "You're right. There's only you."
They hold each other, the sun setting over the ocean.
They walk along the beach, their bare feet leaving imprints in the sand. They can hear the sound of waves crashing against the shore, the distant cries of gulls, and the faint murmur of resort guests enjoying dinner in the background. The sun is setting low, bathing the world in a golden glow.
Nya loves this time of day, when everything seems to slow down and the world is bathed in a warm light. It's peaceful and quiet, and she feels as if she could stay here forever.
Jay wraps his arm around her waist, pulling her close. "I'm so glad you came back to me."
She smiles sadly. "I know. I'm sorry, but I had to find myself. I couldn't return until I remembered who I was and who I needed to be."
He nods, understanding. "I get that. And I'm so proud of you saving the world. For saving me." He pauses, his eyes shining with emotion. "I'm so glad you're back, and I want to make up for lost time."
She kisses him. "So do I."
They hold each other, the last rays of the sun tinting the world in light.
They find a wide open spot on the beach and sit together in silence, watching the waves break on the shore. The sun is setting low in the sky, casting long shadows across the water. It's been a perfect day, spent enjoying each other's company and exploring the island. Now, they're content to just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Nya leans her head on Jay's shoulder. "Do you ever wish things could stay this way?"
"Yeah," he replies softly. "I really do."
"Me too." She smiles, taking his hand in hers. "But it's okay, because I have you, and you're all I need."
He squeezes her hand. "Same."
The sun is disappearing below the horizon, casting its final rays across the sky. Jay and Nya are content to watch, knowing that the moment will soon be gone. But for now, they're happy just to be together, and that's all that matters.
"Do you ever wonder about the future?" Nya asks.
"Sometimes," Jay says. "But I try not to think about it too much. I prefer to live in the moment."
"I can understand that." Nya smiles. "I'm glad we have the present to spend together."
He kisses her cheek. "Me too."
The sky turns from orange to pink, then deep purple as the sun sets, the last sliver of gold sinking beneath the horizon.
Nya snuggles closer to Jay, wrapping her arms around his waist. She takes a deep breath, inhaling the salty air, and sighs contentedly. This is perfect. She can't imagine a more romantic setting, and she knows Jay feels the same way.
He holds her close, resting his chin on the top of her head. He never wants to let go.
A cool breeze stirs around them, and the stars are coming out. They sit and watch the moon rise, full and bright.
"We should head back," Nya says eventually.
"Yeah," Jay replies, sounding reluctant. "It'll be dark soon."
Reluctantly, they get up and walk along the beach, holding hands. They pause at the edge of the jungle and turn to look back at the ocean one last time. The moon is reflected on the water, shimmering in its silver glow.
Nya slips her hand into Jay's, and they walk slowly towards their hotel, enjoying the feel of the soft sand beneath their feet. The air is fragrant with the scent of tropical flowers, and the sound of the ocean is soothing.
"This has been the best day ever," Jay says softly.
"It really has," Nya replies."I don't want it to end."
She smiles, her heart full of love. "Me neither. But there'll be more days like this, I promise."
Jay stops and turns to face her, cupping her cheek in his hand. "I'm the luckiest guy in the world," he says, gazing into her eyes.
Nya leans in and kisses him. "I'm the luckiest girl," she whispers against his lips.
They stand there for a long moment, lost in each other's embrace, before reluctantly pulling apart. Hand in hand, they walk slowly through the darkness towards the lights of the resort, the ocean whispering behind them.
"I'm so glad we found each other," Nya says softly.
"Me too," Jay replies. "I can't imagine my life without you."
She squeezes his hand. "I feel the same way."
The moon is high overhead now, casting its silver light across the water. It's a perfect night, and Jay and Nya are both wishing it would never end. But they know that tomorrow will bring new adventures, and they can't wait to experience them together.
They reach the resort and walk slowly through the lobby, not wanting to let go of each other.
Nya smiles up at Jay. "I'm so glad you're my yang," she says softly.
"Me too," he replies.
"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
He leans down and kisses her, his lips warm against hers. "And you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. You make me happier than I've ever been."
Nya's eyes fill with tears. "I love you, Jay."
"I love you too, Nya," he whispers.
They kiss again, knowing that nothing will ever tear them apart. Their love is stronger than any force in the world, and it will last forever.
The moon shines overhead, a silent witness to their devotion.
