I don't own Naruto.
She hadn't even gone to sleep yet, but Tobirama had. It had been an hour after their activities of the night and she felt in her bones something was wrong. As if sensing something was wrong Tobirama reached over and wrapped his arm around her waist and nuzzled her neck. "What's wrong my love?" he asked and this surprised her, but the warning bells in her brain drowned out her shock of it. "Give me a sec." she said and slipped out of his embrace and out of the bed.
She slipped on a shirt and some shorts and not even a second later she received a cryptic message. 'OTW OTG 911 ETA 5 NS45." she dropped everything and ran down the steps. Completely jumping over the last three steps, she slammed her hand on the button to the garage door. She could hear them coming, but she could also hear the sirens. She hopped on tobirama's bike and began rolling it up further into the garage and out of the way.
She kicked the kick stand back down and put his bike neatly in the corner of her garage. Within three minutes the group revved their engines and shot up the hill to her house each of them bumping their front tires against her wall gently as she cut the power to the house and released the emergency latch on her garage door causing it to slam down.
She could feel the heat from their engines radiating into the empty garage. She pulled her phone and shined her light on the wall and flipped the switch on the solar lights across the walls, illuminating her dark garage. She looked at the silent group, the only sound escaping them was their heavy breathing.
"Scoot the bikes closer get under the cover and don't move." she said and the group huddled their bikes together in the shape of a car under the car tarp. "Stay in here for a moment. Don't make a noise." she commanded as she made her way inside and to her front door. She could see the light from the helicopter circling the sky. She shook her head as she watched it turn and hover the other way. She saw a light flash up towards her window and she ducked away, hoping she hadn't been seen. It turns out she had when the officer strolled up to her door, flash light in hand.
He knocked on the door and she opened it with a faux yawn. She rubbed her eyes cutely and peered up at the tall blonde man. "Yes officer? Can I help you?" she asked and he nodded. "I'm so sorry to bother you ma'am but did you happen to hear any bikes come through here?" he asked and she nodded. "Yeah, I've heard bikes come through every day for the past week though..." she said and he sighed.
"Do you happen to know which way they might have gone? He asked and she shook her head. "No officer, I'm sorry." she said and he sighed once more, shining a light through her house to see if there was anyone else there. She glanced back to smile and wave to tobirama who was standing shirtless ono the stairwell. At least he had had the decency to put his pants back on before coming down.
"Sorry sir, didn't mean to wake you both, I just need to check the backyard and the garage really quick if that's ok?" he said and Hinata nodded. "It's my house officer, he's just visiting for the week." she said cutely to the officer and he offered her a smile and a nod in apology. "Forgive me ma'am that was rude of me to assume." he said and she smiled up at him once more. She was going to do what she did best, distract.
"It's no problem, Minato, you said?" she asked and he nodded. "You must be Naruto's dad!" she exclaimed and his eyes went wide. "Yeah..." he said as she led him around the back of the house. "I'm Hinata, his ex." she said and the man seemed to grimace. As he looked around the backyard. Seeing nothing they made their way back to the front of her house, to where he reached and pulled up on the garage door, but it was hard for him to lift.
"You'll have to forgive me; it dropped the other day and I haven't been able to get it to stay up since." she sighed wistfully and he smiled at her as he struggled to get it up. As if losing interest, the moment he shined the light under and only saw the car shaped tarp, he allowed the door to fall back down once more, although gently. "Once again, I'm sorry to bother you ma'am." he said and she smiled and waved at him as he walked down the hill. The moment he turned his back, the innocent act dropped and she made her way back into the house.
