She couldn't shake the feeling something was wrong when she saw that handprint on the vase. She called the police and Tobirama was searching the property with a baseball bat in hand. He came back around the side of the house and was shaking his head, telling her he hadnt found anything or anyone. Her fingers trembled as she remembered who she had given the vase to. She immediately went to dialling the number for the charge nurse.
"Kinda busy right now call you back in a minute." Tsunade grumbled but hinata called out for her to wait. "It's Hinata! Tsunade are you alright? The vase is on my doorstep with blood on it!" she cried out and the line was silent for a moment. "Hinata, do not come back to work tonight. I was assaulted over that vase of flowers." Tsunade said and Hinata squeezed her eyes shut in fear. "I'm so sorry I need this job though, please..." Hinata pleaded and tsunade released a sigh on the other end of the line.
"You're not in trouble for what happened, but you will not be safe here tonight... or your home right now for that matter. It seems you have a stalker." she said and a chill rolled down Hinata's spine. She felt like she was being watched all of a sudden. She jerked around and looked for anyone standing nearby or off across the street, but she couldn't see anyone. A hand placed itself on her shoulder and she jumped as she turned to look at the person who touched her.
"Are you alright?" the police officer asked, and she shook her head. "Tsunade, please describe the man to the police." she said, and Tsunade made a noise of affirmation before she hung up. Hinata pointed a trembling finger towards the bloody vase on her doorstep and the officer nodded at her and made his way over to the vase. He stopped and grabbed the card in a gloved hand and looked back over to her.
"You wouldn't happen to be Hinata would you? We received a call from your charge nurse trying to make sure you were safe since she was attacked as soon as you left." he said, and she nodded. "I am... I'm so confused about how all of this is happening. Please can't you tell me what's going on?" she pleaded, and he sighed as he looked over the card once more. "Ma'am have you been getting letters out of nowhere? Have you been getting any other flowers or anything out of the ordinary lately?" he asked, and she shook her head.
She couldn't understand why he was asking these questions. Her fingers clasped over her chest, and she could feel the fear building up in her stomach. She didn't understand any of this. "Ma'am I'm afraid you might have a stalker. Although this one seems quite possessive of you already." the police officer said and turned the card to where she could read it. She felt the urge to vomit the moment she read the scribbled writing.
"I will win..." Tobirama wrapped an arm around her shoulder and scowled at the card. "What the hell does that mean?" He grunted and tapped his boot with the baseball bat. She watched him intently, knowing that if he had gotten a hold of the stalker first, he was going to ensure the man didn't make it away. First Mei and her drama, now this... it was all too much of a coincidence for her honestly. "You don't think Mei could be doing this do you?" she asked him, and he shook his head.
"She's still mad enough about losing the court case, I figure if she was doing this, she would aim for me and not you." He grunted and she nodded, but something still felt odd about the timing. Her eyes widened and she called out to the police officer once more. "There was a man! He told me I was wondrously beautiful tonight and then the flowers were delivered after he kept staring at me for an hour!" she called out and the officer muttered something into his radio.
"We will look into the security footage and see what that has to offer." he said and began bagging up the vase and set it off to the side. Another officer approached her and asked if he could enter her home and look for anyone who might be hiding because Tobirama had found a loose window around the back. She nodded and buried herself into Tobirama's side. This was terrifying to her, but she was grateful he was by her side for this.
