Grabbing his phone, Tommy opens Twitter, hoping it'll lessen his boredom. Scrolling through his timeline, he notices that its quite lively with people being very excited over [media]. There must be something coming out, and he just knows Marz will probably text him excitedly about it, knowing how much they love talking about it.

A few moments pass, and he hasn't gotten a single message back, nor have they even tweeted about it. It may be a coincidence, but maybe there's something wrong. Tommy's now a bit worried, they've never Not texted him to ramble about their special interest.

Standing up from his chair, he grabs his sweater, and keys and walks quickly to their special place.

(Y/n) is curled up, in the corner booth, sobbing quietly. He hears the bell ding of the doors opening, but doesn't look up. All he can think about is how awful that argument was. He wishes he hadn't forgotten to grabbed his stuffed bear in the rush of panic, but here he is.

Hearing someone sit in the booth seat next to him, he looks up, teary eyed, scared it may be their ex, but get a nice surprise. It's Tommy, with his favorite pastry.

Tommy pulls him into his arms, gently, "Hey mouse, do you want to talk about it?"

Sniffling, they nod a little, against his chest.

"Kai.. he was so mean and I don't think.. I don't think we can make up this time" Tears run down his face, onto Tommy's shirt, though he doesn't mind it. "He just.. I can't deal with him anymore. He was such an asshole.. and I came here because I didn't know where else to go."

Tommy rubs their shoulder comfortingly, "Its okay now, you can come home with me. We'll figure it out okay? Would you like that? We can watch that movie franchise you're obsessed over, you can even get me to watch your favorite show if you'd like."

(Y/n) giggles, and nods "That sounds really nice Tommy, I'd love that a lot."

Their slight smile turns into a frown quickly, and they tear up again, and Tommy grows worried, "What's wrong? Do you need water or anything?"

Through stifled sobs, they speak, "No I just.. I left my favorite stuffie at Kai's, and I don't wanna go back. I only brought my phone and charger before I left"

"It's gonna be okay, shortstack. I have a big quantity of stuffies you can cuddle for now, we can figure everything out later okay? We can just get you home, you'll be safe and it'll be okay."

(Y/n) nods, grabbing the big sweater from Tommy's lap, and putting it on. "Thank you Tommy, this really means a lot."

Opening the door to his home, Tommy lets them in first. (Y/n) is quick to get on the couch, and lay there. Tommy walks to the corridor and grabs blankets, and a few stuffed animals he was gifted. His best friend needed them more than he did.

A soft snore came from under the blankets, it was (Y/n), he had fallen asleep. He mustn't have had a good night's sleep when he was with his ex. Tommy resented Kai for making them so upset, and so obviously was the cause of them lacking sleep.

Tommy covered them in a blanket, and wrote a note for them, in case they woke up, they'd know he went out to get some stuff from the corner store

All Tommy could think about was how to make them feel better, maybe he could rescue everything they had left sometime in the near future. For now, his favorite snacks, and drinks, along with comfort media will have to suffice.

Grabbing what he knew was their favorite candy, and chips, he payed for them. Tommy was in a rush; he didn't want (Y/n) to wake up in an empty house, he knows how upset and hurt he would possibly be. That just made Tommy walk home faster.

Opening the door, he hears the soft snores, and sighs. Tommy's glad he didn't wake up, while he was out. He grabbed the note he had left and crumpled it in his hand. The noise woke (Y/n) up.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up."

They give him a small smile, holding tightly onto one of the bigger stuffed animals. The arms of Tommy's sweater was quite big on them, which was a bit cute.

"I went and bought you your favorite snacks, and we can order in from wherever you want."

Wiping the tears with the sleeve of the sweater, he smiles a little, "You really are the best, Tommy, I love you."

Tommy's ear grow slightly red, and hands them the snacks, getting comfortable next to him, "It's no problem, I'd do anything for you, mouse."

Getting comfortable, they lay on Tommy's chest, while he pets the top of their head. (Y/n) chose one of their favorite childhood films, and tapped buttons on Tommy's phone, their food would arrive sometime soon, in the meanwhile, they snacked on the chips.

There were leftovers on the coffee table, that Tommy made a mental note to put away later, as he couldn't move, or else he'd wake his best friend, and it was obvious he needed all the sleep he could get.

Tommy was careful to lean backwards, so they'd lay in a more comfortable manner, on his chest. He lowered the TV's volume.

(Y/n) mumbled softly in his sleep, moving his arms around Tommy's waist, like a big teddy bear. This caused Tommy to grow a bit flustered, before reminding himself they are just asleep, and this was probably a more comfortable position. They also just broke up, it'd be horrible timing to confess, and really messed up.

Tommy would just have to keep his feelings in check, while (Y/n) was recovering from heartbreak. Maybe in the future, he'd have a chance, but he wouldn't fuck up their friendship because of how he felt, especially not when his best friend was in such a vulnerable state, they needed him to be a comfort, not something else the he needs to be anxious about.
