Muzan then decided to take a stroll outside of the mansion just in their garden.
Around the mansion were filled with sakura trees with bushes of flowers in the far edge connected to the wall inside.

The breeze swayed Muzan's long hair as he walked around the garden as his eyes then gazed up the nightsky as he saw the bright full moon above along with the stars accompanying it.

Muzan sighed as he then sat down on the grass with his eyes still fixated at the moon.

"Shinju...", Muzan spoke as his mind was brought back to his past; the time he first met Shinju.

It was nighttime.
Muzan was infront of the mansion of his uncle as he waited for his uncle to come back to him.
Muzan wore a black silk sokutai over his kimono with a black kanmuri cap rested on his head to be known as an aristocrat or someone who has higher rank in society.

"Muzan, she wishes to speak to you.", Muzan's uncle came back as he then led Muzan inside the mansion to a room where there was a blinds built in the middle of the wall.

Muzan entered the room, then sat down on the cushion placed on the middle of the room.
"Good evening, Lord Kibutsuji.", the female attendant greeted with a low bow as Muzan nodded at the attendant before facing directly onto the blinds infront of him.

"Good evening, Ms. Shinju Getsumei.", Muzan greeted first. "Good evening to you too, Mr. Muzan Kibutsuji.", Shinju greeted beneath the blinds.
"My father has told me so much about you, Kibutsuji. I congratulate you for being gifted a treatment that ended your illness.", Shinju said "Oh, appreciate your words. Thank you.", Muzan spoke.
"Also, since you're here, I assume that you wish to court me by any chance, is that correct?", Shinju asked "I wish to know you better first before proceeding to courtship.", Muzan answered. "So you're patient. How unique...", Shinju said with a slight interest in her tone.
"Unique..?", Muzan spoke "Yes. I find you quite unique. Many noble men had courted me in the past— they were all direct with me as if the world was about to meet its end. I find them very displeasing.", Shinju explained as her tone became more bitter as she talked about it.

"There are many men like that in this world. I'm glad you don't see me like them.", Muzan said with a smile as it made Shinju giggle "Quite literally. I can barely see you through the blinds.", Shinju continued to giggle as she moved her long sleeve over her mouth.

"Ms. Shinju, you've mentioned that your father has told you about me. May I ask kindly how much you know about me?", Muzan asked.
Shinju took a long pause as she fixed her posture. "Well, my father described to me that you're a very intelligent, prosperous, and a talented man regardless of being ill. That's all I know about you. My father only pinned out to me the 'most important' details about you.", Shinju answered "Those details mentioned mean nothing to me...", Shinju added.

The female servant nearby rose up her head with a surprised expression as she sighed deeply with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Then what do you want in a man?", Muzan asked.
As the moon slowly arise up the nightsky, its light casted down the room as it passed the blinds right infront of Muzan, revealing a glimpse of Shinju inside.
"Not a 'want' but more of a 'like'. If it's a 'want' I wish in a man, then he'll be likely to change himself into what I desire; which I cannot tolerate him to do.", Shinju said
"Oh, I apologize for my mistake in my sentence. I will ask more accurately: What do you like in a man?", Muzan asked again.
"A good personality is what I like in a man. A man that has respect for women, who's patient, caring, who speaks in honesty, has devotion, has faith, who's compassionate, and most importantly— believes and has trust in god.", Shinju explained as she curves up a smile while talking about what she truly likes.
