Chapter 5. Life At Number 4 Privet Drive 

It had been a year since Chavez and Harry arrived in England and are now living at number 4 privet drive despite the fact that Chavez really didn't want to be anywhere near privet drive but the only reason why they are is for Harry's own safety Harry is now 4 years old and is attending preschool with Dudley Chavez woke up and gently woke up Harry who was a little cranky due to being woken up once Harry was dressed Chavez carried him downstairs for breakfast it was Monday so which meant that it was a school day after breakfast Chavez gently picked Harry up and decided to take him to school Harry was scared but Chavez reassured him that everything was going to be alright and that he would see him when he got home which made Harry happy he hugged and kissed Chavez goodbye then went inside the school Chavez decided to stay in town for awhile he had gotten a lot of looks from other people while he was in town he had guessed that they had never seen anyone like him before in England with his long black hair and dark complexion and everything else in between many people have approached him and asked him curious questions about himself and of course Chavez would answer truthfully as he could while Chavez was in town Harry was having an alright time at school but when he was outside at recess Dudley and his friends Piers Polkiss as well as their friends Dennis Melcom and Gordon decided to play their favorite sport Harry Hunting Harry would always have to hide from them because of it but on this day somehow Harry ended up on the roof of the school he didn't know how he had gotten up there but he did when the headmistress heard about what Harry had done she became very angry with him about it giving him detention and wrote a letter home to Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon unaware that Chavez was Harry's father Harry was scared and when he got home Uncle Vernon was there and Harry knew what was about to happen Harry's aunts Jane and Yen tried to intervene but Uncle Vernon managed to prevent them from doing so he took one look at Harry before marching right over and gave Harry the worst beating he could ever imagined after the beating was done Uncle Vernon took Harry and threw him into the cupboard underneath the stairs and locked it fortunately Harry's Aunt Jane was able to unlock the cupboard and get him out of it Harry was scared and was trembling severely he flinched when Jane touched him

Harry it's alright sweetie it's just me Jane said trying to comfort Harry

I want dada! Harry cried shaking violently

Jane sighed softly and tried to cheer Harry up as she did Harry's Aunt Yen came over and brought him a cookie and a glass of milk Harry eagerly took the cookie and ate it eagerly and drank the milk by which time Billy and Doc came into the house after being in town and Jane and Yen told them what happened to Harry Billy was furious as so was Doc Billy marched right up to Uncle Vernon and demanded an explanation for why he assaulted Harry Uncle Vernon grudgingly told them about Harry ending up on the school roof and that the headmistress had written a letter home about it after a bit Chavez came home and when he walked into the house Harry came running up to him crying uncontrollably and trembling violently Chavez was baffled by this and kneeled down to Harry careful not to frighten him

Harry? Chavez asked what's wrong bud?

Dada I'm scared I wanna go home Harry cried

Well what's wrong bud? What happened? Chavez replied worried

No I didn't you pushed me! Harry yelled

Alright Harry calm down bud here let's get that cut looked at Chavez said trying to calm Harry down

Chavez sat Harry down and went and got rubbing alcohol and applied it to the cut on Harry's cheek before placing a bandaid on it afterwards Chavez let Harry go back to play with his toys by then Vernon's sister Marge and her prized bulldog Ripper came to the house Harry was playing outside while Jane and Doc were watching him Chavez was inside cleaning his gun while Yen and Petunia were making lunch Vernon and Marge were also outside as so was Ripper Chavez never did like that dog and never wanted it anywhere near Harry but that was about to change and not for the better Chavez was almost done with cleaning his gun when he heard Harry screaming he jumped up and ran outside and saw ripper attacking him it made Chavez's blood boil as he raced over to Harry Jane and Doc managed to get Ripper off of Harry who was screaming and crying and his arm was bleeding Chavez gently took Harry into his arms gently soothing him

Harry? Harry it's alright bud here let me see Chavez said looking at Harry's arm

I'm scared dad! Harry cried

Shhh I know I know bud it's alright now I'm here I here right now okay Harry Doc we need to take Harry to emergency room right away "can you get us there? Chavez said

Yeah yeah sure Doc replied

Chavez gently held Harry in his arms Harry rested his head on Chavez's shoulder looking scared to say that Chavez was furious was an understatement he was livid with what Marge's dog had done to Harry by which time Yen came running out and asked what had happened and Doc told Yen that Harry was attacked by Marge's dog Yen gasped in shock before glaring at Marge Dursley Chavez went inside and grabbed a blanket for Harry and wrapped up in the blanket before carrying him out to the car it didn't take long before they were at the emergency room Harry clung to Chavez crying

Shhh it's alright Harry it's alright I'm right here with you it'll be alright bud Chavez said gently holding Harry on his lap

The doctor examined Harry's arm and said that it just needed to be bandaged afterwards Chavez thought that maybe taking Harry for ice cream would cheer him up and it did Harry perked up when Doc brought him a chocolate vanilla ice cream cone Harry soon felt better and they headed back to privet drive when they got there Chavez handed Harry to Doc and asked him to take Harry somewhere and spend some time with to which Doc agreed and took Harry outside Chavez had told Doc to make sure that Harry is occupied before allowing them to go outside and play once Harry was outside with Doc he immediately turned to Marge Dursley glaring at the plumb woman before him

You give me one good reason why I shouldn't have shot that dog of yours! Chavez yelled in anger

I don't know what you're talking about Marge replied

Your dog attacked my son and I have whitenesses who saw it happen Chavez said

I saw nothing Vernon replied

Well Jane and Doc saw it and I swear if your dog comes anywhere near Harry and attacks him again I won't hesitate to shoot him do you understand me! Chavez yelled

Marge nodded grudgingly and Chavez walked outside when he did Harry ran to him Chavez smiled softly and gently picked him up and held him and kissed his cheek Harry seemed to have calmed down and after dinner it was time for bed Chavez tucked him in and curled up beside him keeping him safe it was a close call but Chavez was determined to never let anything like that happened to Harry again and that was that
