*Scotland Yard, Criminal Investigation department*

"Here," Gregson declared in a business-like voice, "is all the evidence we found at the home of the suspect, Sherlock Holmes." Before us lay a variety of different items. "First, a gun our experts claim uses the same caliber as the ones found at the crime scene. Furthermore, the size of the prints lifted at the scene match his. We also confiscated an assortment of other lethal items such as toxic chemical agents and knives. This wouldn't be the first time he's caused us trouble," Gregson growled, slamming his hands against the table, "but now he's lost all sense of reality and committed an actual crime!"

*Around 10 minutes later, after a serious interrogation*

I was trying to find Mr. Holmes. Without him, it'd take ages to get to Kai. I heard Lestrade's voice coming from nearby. Naturally, I decided to eavesdrop. Apparently, Lestrade was filling Holmes in on the details: thank God Gregson wasn't around, else Lestrade would have gotten demoted, and that was the best-case scenario.
"...That's the situation in a nutshell," Lestrade was saying.
"Hah! Don't make me laugh!" cried Holmes, "who cares that my name was at the crime scene, the footprints matched my shoe size and the murder weapon was the same type of gun as my own? All that was clearly planted!"
"That's exactly what your young companion said. She affirmed that it couldn't be you."
"Of course! Not only can you easily fake a footprint, my gun's new and it hasn't been used. You'll see if you have it checked."
"This obviously isn't your run-of-the-mill case," I interrupted.
"Indeed," Holmes answered. "Something big's going on... almost as if the culprit was challenging me."
"It's our job to prevent it escalating." I stated matter-of-factly.
"How's John?" Mr. Holmes asked sharply.
"Gregson's been questioning him about all this, but if he keeps covering up for you, he shall get tried as an accomplice," Lestrade stated. "You too, if you try to intercede any more."
"You bet I will." I answered back defiantly. A sharp clanking sound reached our ears.
"Gregson's fallin' so easily for such an obvious trick!" spoke Mr. Holmes, exasperated.
"What? When did you unlock that door?" Lestrade was amazed.
"Don't know how you can call it locked when it was so easy to open," Mr. Holmes stated nonchalantly. "Anyway, come on. We're going to the crime scene. It should be fine if you say you're bringing me along for an on-site investigation. Oh, and bring John too."
