I had little to base a hypothesis. All I knew was that my brother went missing under odd circumstances. Hardly anything greeted me where he had stood. Not even a note. Just a coin. Engraved in gold, a maple leaf.
My brother, Kai, is my best friend. We suffered terribly when we were young, however he gave me strength to go on. He taught me some detective skills, how to swordfight and a bit of hand-to-hand combat. However, he had stopped talking to me the past few months, going silent for hours on end. I didn't think much of it, as I supposed he was just thinking about a case and needed to be left alone.
I couldn't go to the police: they wouldn't take me seriously. Evidence was lacking. If onlyI knew where to start. Perhaps my best bet was to find someone to guide me as Kai had, until we were reuinited.
Wait for me, brother.
