You had been single far too long, and trying to meet men the usual way was causing you to pull your hair out. You finally stated to your friends that you were giving up on finding love all together. However, they were all sad to see you become so jaded. As a surprise, they set you up for a blind date on Valentine's Day. Everything was taken care of for you. A light dinner, a movie, and the man.
While you were not initially thrilled with the idea of being "gifted" a blind date, they had assured you that you were in for a good time. You cleaned yourself up, put on your favorite date night outfit and headed out. Now that you were here, you fiddled with your hands in front of the water fountain at the park, nervously waiting for your date to arrive. You checked your phone to look at the picture your friends had sent, wondering what he would really be like...

You were rather nervous to accept a blind date with a fish-man, but Luffy assured you that Jinbe was the coolest person he knew. Sometimes it was hard to take the rubber boy at his word, given he said that about just everyone he knew. However with his sound logic that if you were "done with finding love" meant you you were done with men, it was fine. Jinbe was a fish-man. Totally different.
The picture that Usopp had sent you was rather serious looking, a more formal picture of him in a uniform of sorts. Though it was Luffy's idea to set up the date, Usopp did the actual leg work of planning the night. You also trusted Usopp's opinion, especially when he told you that, though rather serious, Jinbe was a wonderful person, and always fun to be around. You were still rather worried that Usopp made the reservations at a seafood place, concerning you that might have been insensitive.
It was hard to miss Jinbe the second he was in your view, especially since there were not a lot of fish-men in the area to begin with. He was very tall, and his tusks showed, even though his mouth was closed, holding a small bundle of wild flowers in his hand. Jinbe was dressed far more causally than the picture that was shared with you, a summery looking floral print shirt and nice pants, but his hair was still half pulled up into a top knot with the rest of it hanging down around his shoulders, wild and curly. Though his face was rather grumpy looking his features softened when he spotted you, giving a wave and a toothy smile.
