You had been single far too long, and trying to meet men the usual way was causing you to pull your hair out. You finally stated to your friends that you were giving up on finding love all together. However, they were all sad to see you become so jaded. As a surprise, they set you up for a blind date on Valentine's Day. Everything was taken care of for you. A light dinner, a movie, and the man.
While you were not initially thrilled with the idea of being "gifted" a blind date, they had assured you that you were in for a good time. You cleaned yourself up, put on your favorite date night outfit and headed out. Now that you were here, you fiddled with your hands in front of the water fountain at the park, nervously waiting for your date to arrive. You checked your phone to look at the picture your friends had sent, wondering what he would really be like...
You still did not get why Thatch and Ace kept sending you pictures of pineapples, but at least Izou sent you a proper picture. Marco looked very charming with his casual smile and nice build. Even the way his glasses sat at the bridge of his nose in some of the pictures was kind of hot. Izou sent you quite a few pictures of the man, and even one of him without a shirt on, a large tattoo on his chest, that you just kept coming back to. Holding the phone to your chest, you felt embarrassed as you had just been sitting there on the bench by yourself, ogling the picture almost ravenously.
"Y/N, yoi?"
Your spine stiffened and you fumbled with your phone, it dropping to the ground face up with the shirtless picture of Marco there on the screen. It was already mortifying enough that the man was now standing next to you when you were already looking at his picture, but now you were looking for the closest tall building to climb and fling yourself from in your shame. Bending down to pick up your phone quickly before he could see, the man did the same, reaching down as the two of your heads collided with the other.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry!" you blurted out, having gotten up from the bench as he rubbed his forehead and held your phone out to you. His glasses had slid down his nose, and his large tuft of blonde hair was reminding you of a pineapple (now you got why they sent those pictures).
Marco pushed his glasses up, looking down at you from his incredible height, "No, it's fine. I assure you, there is no harm done."
You were nearly sweating, as your screen was still on and right there was the picture of him shirtless. Frozen, your sweat turned to ice as his eyes cast down to your phone and you could see the picture reflected against his glasses. This was the moment you felt your soul leave your body as he just stared for a moment, a red tint crossing his cheeks.
