Karina's P.O.V.
The seasons were changing again and winter was on the horizon. The cold air filled the room, the view of the snow settling on the ground outside was so nostalgic. It danced so harmoniously to the cobbled floor like it was swaying to a melodic tune.
For a while it reminded me of tranquility and calmness. The whole landscape of the campus seemed to change into a winter wonderland, a canvas of snow covering every tree and building in a mist of icy crystals.
As I wrote, I found myself lost in a sea of thoughts about Winter. I'd met her in that very season perhaps that was why it held such a special feeling in my heart this time of year. It began as admiration turned swiftly to romance and then heartache. She was everything wonderful in a chaotic world but that was then and now I didn't know how to feel anymore.
It was times like this when I watched the snowflakes skip along the glass of the window that I would reminisce and one day I hoped to read her this poem.
I recall the moment often,
It was love or so they say,
When you stepped into my life,
On that beautiful winter's day.The snow was gently melting,
And I knew it was the start,
Just a minute in your presence,
Melted the ice within my heart.Winter, you were special,
Filled with elegance and grace,
You know you never failed,
To leave a smile upon my face.Stories often told me,
Love is like a dream come true,
Yet I didn't quite believe it,
Until that day that I met you.So I wandered through the shadows,
I suppose it seemed quite tragic,
It was like a spell you had upon me,
As you simply cast your magic.Thoughts of you snaked through me,
Like venom poisoned my mind,
Illusions replaced my sadness,
With the hope I'd wished to find.Winter, I always thought of you,
As I planned our life together,
It was everything I wanted,
And I prayed it'd be forever. But it sadly didn't last,
It seems good things never do,
You broke my heart in half,
And for that I despised you.Not all is fair in love and war,
I was jealous in disbelief,
Because the moment that I lost you,
It was like living in endless grief. It had all been so perfect,
Enchanting in it's ways,
Wishing you'd be mine,
On those beautiful winter days.---------------------------------------------------------
