Filius was currently in his office in Nazarick, he was catching up on what happened yesterday and the day before, after he left to deal with the Evil tree. It seemed like Cocytus was tasked to redeem himself for Nazarick's first official loss in this new world, this bothered Filius. Why you ask?

Well, because this was his teacher, who taught him the ways of the sword and a man he called uncle out of kindness. How could a trained warrior lose to a bunch of weak lizardmen?

"How could Cocytus lose in the first place?", filius asked Yuri. Filius was asking this because during the Audience he was in, he had to leave mid-way not being able to hear what had occurred in Cocytus's hearing. He had just gotten back and was hearing a recap of what had transpired.

"Cocytus had underestimated his opponents, the lizard men had united under one banner and fought desperately against his troop's attacks", Yuri summarized, "It also seemed that Cocytus lacked capable generals so all his troops were scattered with no leader."

Filius's demon face frowned, "Why? I don't understand, why didn't he request for more capable troops. Also, why would he not plan accordingly if he wasn't fully aware of his enemy's abilities?"

"If I may speak", spoke another voice in the office, it was Demiurge, "It was actually a form of test designed by Lord Ainz."

Filius seemed startled, he was confused and less bothered knowing this, "Continue Demiurge."

Demiurge bowed before continuing his speaking, "Lord Ainz had confirmed my prediction that same day, I had assumed that Lord Ainz had intentionally given Cocytus a low amount of troops with no generals, not to intentionally make him lose, but to gauge what plans could Cocytus make while being limited. Lord Ainz in his own words said, Orders aren't unfathomable law that you must blindly obey and carry out, you must carefully consider them before you act and always aim for the greatest benefit to Nazarick, truly astounding words from the Supreme One."

Filius was filled with pride hearing these words, it made him understand his father's main objective. Cocytus wasn't thrown carelessly into battle with no help, his father was expecting him to request aid or even think outside of the box he was placed in. Only by thinking outwardly could a person develop and grow, that was something he learned in the many books he read.

"I understand now, this was also intended to teach all the guardians a lesson. Now you as well as the guardians will be more thoughtful when following an order, making sure to look at every outcome and path. Father is incredible", Filius said with a smile.

"Indeed, Lord Ainz is truly amazing", Demiurge agreed.

"So what occurred to the lizardmen, were they eradicated?", Filius asked wanting to hear the conclusion to their small war.

Demiurge explained the rest of the outcome which made Filius excited, the lizardmen's defeat was swift and easy at the hands of Cocytus, this allowed his Father to control them and become their ruler. Meaning that Nazarck had new vassals and warriors, Filius was eager to test many theories he had, maybe he could create a powerful lizardman, or maybe learn unknown magic if they had any, and probably learn a few things about their culture and history.

"I see, it's great to hear that Nazarick's forces are growing we can never have too much manpower", Demiurge nodded at his words, Filius then turned to Yuri at his side, "How are the beast that Aura and Mare captured? Are they adapting well to the fifth floor?"

Yuri bowed before responding, "Yes, Filius. They seem to be adapting well to the environment, Aura has used her taming abilities, and non of the beast are attacking the residents or each other, it seems your plans of taming the creatures of the New World have been successful."
