Yusuke found it a bit difficult to speak to his father after his mother left.
His father had such a strong aura, much like his uncle and grandfather and it made him a little worried at times.
The familiar bond they once shared seemed a little distant now.
"So... do you like your new school?" Sasuke tried making conversation with his son as they walked home. Yusuke slightly tugged on the straps of his backpack. "Um... yeah, it's alright but the kids are weird there." This piqued Sasuke's interest. "How so?" He curiously asked him.
Yusuke felt a little embarrassed to tell his father about his concerns but he had no choice.
"The kids there... are into weird things... like drawings of skeletons and black shadows..."
Sasuke rolled his eyes before scoffing. For this little shit to be his son, he sure wasn't acting like it. "So what are you saying? You're scared of those things?" Yusuke heard the disappointment in his voice, keeping his eyes on his shoes while he took heavy steps.
"I just think it's unusual." He responded to his father quietly. Sasuke made a pause in his steps and so did Yusuke. He slowly turned his gaze up at his father.
"Are those kids giving you a hard time?" Sasuke looked down at his son with a serious look, daring him to lie about what he just asked. If anything the young lad just had a hard time fitting in, not so much them giving him a hard time.
"No daddy-" Sasuke cut him off. "You're 6 years old now. Call me dad." He sternly said to his child. Yusuke felt discomfort in his chest.
"O-Ok." Sasuke scolded him. "And stop stuttering!" It was the small things he did that reminded him of Hinata. It was nothing but weakness. He wanted to rid all things that reminded him of her, including his mother.
"Sorry." The small raven head sucked in the tears that wanted to freely fall.
"Now, are you sure those kids aren't giving you any trouble?" His father asked again and this time Yusuke just shook his head no.
"Good." Sasuke turned toward his favorite place and he grabbed Yusuke's shoulder as he guided both of them inside the place.
"Listen, bud. Don't talk to any strangers and don't drift off anywhere. I got some grownup business to attend to."
Yusuke closely listened to his father's instructions as they walked inside this place that was unknown to him. His father was sure to put a mask on him too.
Thick smoke filled the air, a mix of smells surrounded each corner of the walls, various footprints covered the unpolished floors, and strange music was heard from the loud stereos.
Sasuke covered Yusuke's eyes when they entered the bar area. "Sasuke! You can't bring that damn kid in here." The grimy buffed bald man yelled over the bar counter.
"There's a room in the back, he'll be fine there!" Sasuke spoke over the loud music.
Once they made it to the small room in the very back of the bar, Sasuke uncovered his son's eyes. This may have been the only part of the bar that was clean because the owner didn't allow anyone back there.
Sasuke sat his son down on the spotless black leather chair and pulled the lift recliner on the side, to put his feet up.
Then he took out his headphones & his tablet out of his backpack, plugged his charger into the wall, and put his tablet on the charger.
Once Sasuke typed in the bar's Wi-Fi, he handed the tablet back to his son.
"Ok, remember what I told you. I'll be back in a little while, alright?" Yusuke nodded and smiled. "Don't open this door for anybody." Sasuke kissed his son's forehead and quietly left the room.
