Let's begin the chapter...

Days were moving with the same routine for Netra. Her juggling life between work and home was draining all her energy, nevertheless, it helped her to keep her body fit. On Sunday she had taken Nishant to one of the most awaited Kids' exhibitions held in south Mumbai. The event was specially designed for kids and Nishant had a lot of fun, shopping and seeing Nishant this happy Netra felt content. Her work schedule prohibited her from giving Nishant more time. So this is how certain days she plans to take him for an outing.

The next day Netra was too tired, but Nishant as usual was very chirpy and fresh from the previous day's outing. She thought of not sending him to school but seeing his activeness & eagerness to share his outing details with his school friends, she decided otherwise. Leaving him with Sandhya's aunty, she moved to her office.

Greeting her colleagues, Netra sat at her desk, just then the office assistant approached her with one file and said this is from the Accounts Department.

She opened the file and saw one tag with "For Legal Review" with the accounts head initials. One review was already done and checked. They had submitted it to her for further analysis. She just knew for the upcoming acquisition; the reviews are to be carried out. Being tired this was the one work she least expected today, even though she enjoyed and loved doing it. Sighing she kept the file aside to look at it after some time.

Post lunch, Netra sat at her desk, staring intently at the balance sheet in front of her. As she reviewed the financial documents related to the upcoming acquisition, something caught her eye—several discrepancies that seemed out of place. Her instincts as a meticulous professional kicked in, and she couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that these errors need to be addressed.

Determined to get to the bottom of it, Netra meticulously cross-referenced the numbers, double-checking each entry for accuracy. After hours of careful analysis, she found concrete evidence of mistakes in the balance sheet. These errors, if left unaddressed, could have significant implications for the company's financial position and the success of the acquisition.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Netra knew she had to bring this to the attention of someone who could take appropriate action. She decided to reach out to Nirvaan, as he was the most suitable person to handle such matters. Gathering all the facts and evidence, she composed an official email to Nirvaan, outlining her findings and requesting a meeting to discuss the issues.

Netra hit send, hoping that Nirvaan would recognize the importance of the matter and give it immediate attention. However, she soon received a response from him, and it was not what she had anticipated. Nirvaan's email conveyed his frustration and irritation, dismissing her concerns and implying that the accounts had already been thoroughly checked.

Feeling disheartened by Nirvaan's curt response, Netra couldn't help but question her own judgment. She had been so confident in her findings, yet here she was, faced with dismissive remarks from someone she had respected and admired.
