Almost an hour passed by and everyone was clicking pictures. Nisha stood at one corner, her gaze automatically moving to Kabir who stood far across from her.

While the cameramen were clicking pictures of the groom and bride including the guests around, Nisha and Kabir stood on two sides of the stage, playing an eye contact game.
She awkwardly waved back when he waved at her.
He gave her a wide smile to which she tried to reciprocate but failed, cautious of the eyes around.

Pointing to her with his index, he gave her a mischievous smile, proceeding to move his pointed index towards his ears.
He gave her an 'okay' 👌 sign, confusing her.

It was until she realized what he was gesturing at.

She wore her favourite huge golden jhumkas which had a few white stones on them and looked breathtaking. She didn't expect him to notice that but it made her blush.
Smiling, she placed her palm on her chest, playing along

He held his nape, closing his eyes at her gesture.

Her eyes slightly widened when Atif came beside Kabir, frowning at him. As soon as he turned towards Nisha, she immediately looked away, pretending to call Adisha.

The next time she glanced back at them, she saw Kabir and Atif arguing about something.

It was not too late when Nisha and her cousins went on the stage to click a few selfies with Shams and Priti.
She smiled widely at Shams, glancing at his shoes once. Bending down, she held the phone with one hand, sharing a secret wink with Adil and Adisha.
In a moment, they went from pulling his shoe to running out of the stage.

"Help!" Shams shouted, helplessly staring at the running flock of people.
"Catch them!" One of Shams's cousins shouted as the groom's cousins chased the bride's side. Nisha gasped, entering the washroom with Shams's shoes and locked the door, her cousins guarding the door.

Soon, Kabir, Atif, Ajay and Wahi along with the others approached them.
"What was that?!" Atif asked as Adil replied, "Shoe-stealing."
"Seriously? You all almost killed our groom!" Ajay complained. Adisha chuckled, "Really? He didn't even realize we were about to pull his shoe."
"He definitely did. He's just not strong enough compared to us." One of Nisha's cousins spoke.
"Where is the leader of the gang?" Wahi asked.

"Inside the washroom." A voice came from one of the stalls, making everyone look at the door.
"Come out at once! We're not giving any money for it!" Kabir spoke, frowning when he heard a huff from the stall.
"Then you aren't getting the shoes either! Shams can go home shoeless!" Nisha shouted from the stall, staring at the shoes suspiciously.

"Where are the backup shoes for Shams?" Kabir whispered to Ajay who replied, "Backup shoes?"
"I told you!" He replied, his eyes wider than a tennis ball.
"Why did you bother telling him? He was busy chatting with his girlfriend." Atif replied, groaning.

"We have backup shoes!" Kabir spoke as Adisha replied, "Sure, we heard you."
The males looked at each other, "Tell her to come out now!" Wahi spoke, knocking on the door.
"Money first, shoes second." Adil smiled at them.
"You little minion! Adorable minion!" Atif squished his cheeks with a threatening smile as he frowned, "Move away..."

Adisha folded her hands on her chest, "Please hand us the money, then Nisha-pi will come out."
"No, no, no! That doesn't work like that!" Ajay spoke.
"Should we just team up with them?" Atif whispered to Kabir who sighed, giving him a death stare.
He cleared his throat, "Okay, tell your sister to come out. Only then we'll talk."

Kabir turned around, gesturing for the groom's side to get out of the bathroom along with him.

They waited outside, noticing the elders enjoying the show.
"Why is Shams standing in front of the photo booth barefoot?!" Ajay asked as Kabir glanced at the groom, slapping his forehead.
"That shameless idiot..."
"I hope they exclude his bare feet from the couple photos." Wahi facepalmed himself. Their internal gossiping halted when the bride's cousins came out of the washroom.
