time 7:30, monday, first day of college
third person view
beep beep beep oliver's alarm was going off. he groaned.

"fuck school bro.."

he got almost no sleep and was incredibly tired.

"olliiii you awake?"
"sadly i am"
jae giggled at oli's stupid response and knocked on his door to come in.

"your good come on in"
"alright"
"what do you want jae?"
"just coming to say hi and make sure your awake"
"well i am"

jae gave him a hug from the back. jae's hands on his hips rather than his usual shoulder placement. oli's face went red. his mind went blank for a second. this wasn't his usual response so he didn't know what the hell to do.

"ughhh jae get off meee"
"fine but only because you have to get ready"

jaehyun pov
he was blushing over that hug but that wasn't his usual reaction? im a little confused? is something different? i guess that hand placement but i don't see why that would bother him. jae thought to himself, he didn't understand

third person pov
jae didn't think much of it but oli did. that's all he thought about when he was taking a shower and doing his skincare. he was confused and weirded out. he didn't like it one bit. he put on a cute outfit to match with his hat. he added his usual rings and necklaces.

time skip: 8:15 before class
third person pov
jae and oli had first period together and they were incredibly happy about it. oli was always really anxious on his first day but jaehyun was always there for him even if he was nervous too.

"what's our first class again jae?"
"let me checkkkkkk, math. ew"
"worst first period ever"
"for real"

after walking for like 2 minutes they make it to their class just before the bell rang. jae whispered to oli
"you okay?"
"yeah i think"
"alright tap me if you need anything"

jae and oli sit right next to each other as always. oli of course did not come prepared.

"hey jaeee, do you have a pencil by chance?"
"oli. it's the first day of school where are your pencils???"
"i forgot to buy them"
"OLIIIII?!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS? fine but just this once you need to buy your own you have a job ol"

the bell rings and the teacher starts taking attendance. oli tenses up. he taps jae lightly, jae puts his hand on oli's thigh. oli blushed a bit but felt safe and comfortable in his touch.

oli pov
"i love you jae"
oli whispered to jae without thinking. oh shit.

"i love you too oli!"

third person pov
jae didn't give it a second thought responding to oli but again that's all oli thought about. the entire class. he couldn't focus and was incredibly anxious especially because jaehyuns hand hadn't moved from his thigh.

time skip: 9:00 passing time(5 minutes)
third person pov
oli basically ran out of the class he couldn't face jae. there was something about what he said that made him want to cry. he knew jae didn't care but that didn't stop him from rushing out of the class.

"oli wait up!!"

oli didn't even look back and jae didn't know why. he thought it was about his hand placement but with further thought that wasn't logical since he does that all the time. he walked to his next class and didn't bother to talk to oli since he was avoiding jae for one reason or another. meanwhile oli was panicking and about to cry because he felt bad and nervous and weird and all sorts of things, most of which he didn't want to feel. TW COMING UP(self harm)

oli always carries a blade on him. he hadn't touched it for this in weeks but he was too overwhelmed. he looked at it for a second before dragging it across his thighs. he watched the blood dripped. he enjoyed the feeling for a second before regretting it and bandaging it up so he didn't get blood all over his blue jeans. what he didn't know is that he had a minute and a half to basically travel across the school.

oli pov
shit shit fuck. oh god ow. i gotta run i'm about to be late.

third person pov
oli wished he had jae badly, he wanted his comfort back and he wanted to just cry in jaehyuns arms but he couldn't. he had to wait until lunch which was at eleven o'clock. two
whole hours of suffering. (more tw)

his cuts were deep, deep enough to scar. some turned white before bleeding and he knew how bad that was.

time skip: 11:00 lunchtime
third person pov
oli walked into lunch desperately hoping to find jae but then he saw jaehyun sitting with his other friend group, it was the first time since they met that they weren't sitting together. oli got too scared to say anything. like anything to anyone he didn't talk at all and went outside. jaehyun noticed and followed behind him grabbing his arm.

"oli what's up with you today?? did i do something wrong? are you okay?"
"i'm sorry jae i just got nervous after i said that i loved you. i thought too much about it and then i thought you hated me even though you said i love you right back."
"hey it's okay we're best friends, bed friends love each other"
"your right"

oli didn't even try to tell jae what he did in the bathroom. he didn't want jae to worry. jae didn't bother confessing to oli right now it just wasn't the right time.
