time: 3:00 after school Thursday
third person pov
oli really wanted to tell jae about what happened in the bathroom but he just didn't want jae to worry. jae meant the world to oli. jae was his only friend and he needed jae. oli and jae are basically polar opposites but are so close it's almost funny. oli decided when jae got back from the store that he would tell him. oli was of course nervous but knew that he should.

time skip: 3:30
third person pov
jae got back from the store so oli started talking to him.

"hey jae can i talk to you about somethin"
"yeah what's up ol?"

they were sitting on the couch in near silence the only sound was them talking. it felt like all eyes were on them.

"jae so you know how yesterday i was really nervous about the i love you thing and ran off to the bathroom?"
"oh god..."
"i- im sorry jaehyun. it's not your fault i swear i was just being dumb."
"hey don't apologize. can you show me the cuts though? i wanna make sure you cleaned them properly"
"okay.."

jaehyun and oli go into the bathroom so oli can show jae the cuts.

"baby oh my god... i- im so sorry i wasn't there to help you"

baby was a new nickname for oli and neither of them really noticed it came out due to the situation going on. jaehyun was obviously blaming it on himself which is exactly what oli didn't want.

"jae i know what your thinking and it wasn't your fault i promise"
"that's not a worry right now, what is a worry is making sure your okay"

his voice almost sounded tense like he needed to get something out.

"oli i-"
"hm?"
"forget it"

time skip: 7:00
third person view

"hey ol"
"yeah?"
"do you wanna see a movie?"
"what kind?"
"horror"
"idk they are always good movies but also so scary.."
"please!!! you'll have me!"
"fine."
jae went into the bathroom before they left. he thought to himself, "tonight's the night. tell him." jae didn't feel ready but he needed oli to know. it's been too long for him to just not. "maybe he likes you, i mean think about the other night" jae sighed, "what am i thinking. pull it together jae." he took a fairly long time in the bathroom preparing himself for it so when he walked out he was greeted with;

"JAEEEEE what took you so longgggg ughh"
"sorry baby i was using the bathroom"
"ba-"

oli caught himself repeating it, basically tripping over the word.

"shit my bad ol that was weird"
"no it's- it's fine, you can keep using it if you wanna i don't mind"

oli didn't just "not mind" he loved the nickname. it felt so sincere from jaehyun, it was a comforting feeling. the same one he gets. from jae's touch.

time skip: 7:30 getting snacks

"i'm so excited thank you jay!!!"
"anything for you"

jae winked and pointed finger guns at oli while laughing. oli giggled really hard and nearly fell to the floor. it felt nice. jae was always so kind and caring towards oli and oli tried to be the same way towards jae. they were a perfect match.

time skip: 9:12
third person pov
"that was soooo good! thank you jae!!"
"your welcome baby"

oli smiled at the pet name and decided to say something he may regret.

"i love you jae"
"i love you more ol"

oli hugged jae, they stayed like that for a good little while. jae pulled out of the hug to ask something, hands still on oli's hips making him blush.

"hey oli why are you so affectionate lately?"
"i'm not sure jae, i guess i just really appreciate you and i want to show it more"
"uno reverse"
"YOU CANT DO THAT CHEATER"
"ILL DO WHATEVER I WANT OLIVER"
"HEYY"

oli made an angry sound then grabbed jae's hand.

"let's go for a walk"
"it's getting late are you sure baby?"
"yeah cmon let's enjoy tonight jae"

oli gave jae a warm smile.
