"And I found love where it wasn't supposed to be, right in front of me," are the words I hear being sung when I wake up.

Grant soon notices I'm awake and walks over to me after putting the guitar down.

"Good morning, babe," Grant says, flashing his teeth in a gorgeous smile.

I chuckle. "I'm not your babe, I have a boyf-," I'm gonna have to get used to not saying that. "Good morning, Grant."

"Listen Audrey, I'm sorry about everything last night. I know it wasn't my place to step in and basically end your relationship, but I was so tired of how he acted and treat-" Grant is interrupted by a slamming door and heavy footsteps. It can't be my mom, she doesn't get off of work until late at night, and she wouldn't slam the door like that. If she got off early, she would've texted me.

"Quick, hide in the closet. Grab that baseball bat," Grant whispers as I run over to my closet.

"I swear I locked the door after you came in yesterday! Who could've broken into my hou-wait, could it be Chandler?" Chandler is the only one with a key to my house besides my mom. My hands become more sweaty as Grant crawls into the closet, sitting beside me. Someone is breaking in to my house.

"Okay Aud, I don't know everything. But I know there was a party going on at the same time Chandler FaceTimed you yesterday. And if that idiot is anything like he seemed on the phone, he wouldn't have missed that party. I also know that LA is a 4 hour flight, and there's no way he could've gotten a flight that quickly."

It seemed like there wasn't a thing that Grant didn't know. From clouds, to flights from LA, he knew it all.

"WHERE IS THAT FREAKIN MANIAC, WHERE IS HE?"

Oh my gosh. Are you kidding me? She's the maniac here.

I roll my eyes and let out a sigh. Grant looks confused, but I slide open the closet door to see the one and only -

Riley.

"There's this thing called a doorbell," I state. I'm annoyed, honestly. She might be my best friend, but that doesn't give her a right to break in to my house.

"There's this thing called my best friend, and a thing you shouldn't do is mess with her. Is he still in LA? Where is he? I'm gonna be-,"

"YES HE'S IN LA. WHY WOULD HE COME BACK? YOU REALLY THINK HE WOULD?" I feel Grant's arm around my waist, and I can tell he's signaling me to calm down. I shouldn't have texted Riley about me and Chandler. I knew it would've only made matters worse.

"WELL I THOUGHT MAYBE THE KID WOULD AT LEAST TRY TO GET THE GIRL HE ADORED BACK. HE WAS IN LOVE WITH YOU AUDREY! I WANTED TO STRAIGHTEN EM UP. TELL EM HOW MUCH I KNOW HE LOVES YA, AND HOW YA NEED HIM. YALL WERE SUPPOSED TO LAST FOREVER AUD! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. YA CAN'T JUST END SOMETHING THAT MEANT THE WORLD TO SOMEONE, WITH NO EXPLANATION! YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO SOMEONE AUDREY!"

My jaw drops to the floor, and I'm stunned at Riley's words. She hated Chan. Why is she defending him?

"RILEY. HE IGNORED ME FOR MONTHS. MONTHS! PRETENDED LIKE I DIDN'T EXIST WHILE HE WENT TO PARTY! WHAT KIND OF A PERSON DOES THAT? OH YEAH, SOMEONE WHO DON'T CARE. THAT'S WHO. IF YOU ADORE SOMEONE, YOU DON'T JUST-JUST WALK OUT OF THEIR LIFE. YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO SOMEONE. HE RUINED ME RI. HE RUINED ME. I'M NOTHING WITHOUT HIM. I'M NOTHING..HE RUINED..ruin..nothing," That's all I remember saying before I fell to my knees and passed out.
