I woke up to the lovely sound of bags being thrown around the room. Note the sarcasm?
I quickly sit up and rub my eyes to see Chandler's mom. She turns to the bed I was sitting on, noticing I was awake.
"Good morning Audrey!" she says, too cheerfully.
"Morning Mrs. Thompson. Where's Chan?" I ask.
"He's outside loading bags into the car." She turns back around and starts tossing things into a maroon suitcase.
I sit up and take the clothes I brought out of my lilac Nike drawstring bag. Chandler and I walked to his house last night and spent the night there so I could go with him to the airport today. As I'm walking to the bathroom to get changed, someone grabs my legs. I jump a little as I look down to see it's only Elise.
"Audrey I don't want to leave. Because you can't come play with me and make me good food." I chuckle as I kneel down to her height.
"Your mom makes good food, right baby girl?" I ask her as she makes a disgusted face and plugs her nose.
"Well, when I FaceTime Chandler have him put you on the phone for a bit. And we can play long distance Barbies. Okay? And when you get back I'll bring a whole feast of food, just for you." Her face lights up while I talk.
"OKAY! I LOVE YOU AUDDY!" She shouts, hugging me. She's called me Auddy since I met her. I pull away from the hug to get changed. I'm wearing a lace white crop top, a white headband, a mint green skirt, and white converse.
I honestly thought it was unfair that Elise had to leave to LA with Chandler. I get that they want to go support Chandler in LA and obviously wouldn't let him go to LA for 7 months by himself, but Elise is so little and having to leave home at such a young age couldn't be fun.

I walk outside to see Chan loading up suitcases in the car. He notices me walking out and comes to hug me. I feel the tears coming but hold them in. Gosh, I'm gonna miss his hugs.
I climb in the car and sit in between Chandler and Elise. I rest my head on Chan's shoulder while we drive. The airport is only about 5 minutes away, sadly. I wish this car ride was longer.
We pull up to the airport parking lot and get out of the car. I help carry a backpack and wheel a suitcase along. Chandler holds my hand until we walk through the automatic door. He lets go only to make sure he has his phone in his pocket. That crazy kid. "How can you almost forget your phone when your going to LA for 7 months?" I jokingly ask.
"I was too focused on how beautiful you look to care about this stupid thing." He chuckles as I blush. Every word he says is making me think about missing him even more.
As we walk to the gate, I know this is where I have to say goodbye. I start to tear up as his parents hug me.
"You've become like a second daughter to me. If you ever need anything, I'm just one call away honey." Mrs. Thompson says smiling. "We'll be back before you know it."
Next is Chandler's dad, who gives me a bear hug. He doesn't say anything. Just smiles sadly and walks away. I know it's hard for him too.
Elise runs up to me soon after and starts bawling her eyes out. This girl has become like a sister to me, and it breaks my heart to see her so sad.
"Auddy please let me stay with you I don't want to leave I miss you too much," she says in between sobs. I could feel the lump in my throat get bigger. My chest was hurting, and my throat felt swollen. Saying goodbye has never been this hard before.
"You'll be back soon baby. And don't forget about the FaceTimes. I'll see you before you know it darling." I say, trying to smile as I wipe my tears away. She says okay before running over to her teddy bear and grabbing her backpack.
Now for the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.
I can't do this. My love can't leave. Not without me.
"Chandler I ca-can y-you..p-please Cha-" My words were slurring as I sobbed into his chest.
"Baby, I'll be back soon. Remember just a long vacation? I'm just going on a long vacation. I'll be back." He says as he rubs circles on my back.
I started to hyperventilate and I couldn't breathe. I started coughing and I was just a mess.
"Calm down Aud. It's okay, I'm coming back. I'm not leaving forever. This isn't goodbye. This is just see ya later, you know? TTYL." He says which makes me laugh. My breathing returned to normal, and I was thanking God that I remembered to put on waterproof mascara today, otherwise Chandler's grey sweatshirt would have black smears all over it.
"See you later, princess." He kisses me one last time before he leaves and boards the plane with his family.
I keep my promise to stay at the airport until his flight leaves. While the plane is pulling out of the gate, my phone vibrates.
From: My Prince
Please don't cry. Please smile. I love it when you smile. Well, I love you whenever, but I love you most when you're smiling. I will be back so soon babygirl. I love you.
I respond quickly,
Together forever, never apart, maybe in distance, never in heart. I'm smiling, but only for you.
He answers it almost immediately.
Exactly Aud. Never in heart. The gates are closing now, but I'll text you as soon as we land. See you later babe. I love you so much💙
He wants me to smile, I think to myself.
A small smile creeps across my face as I answer.
See you later. Even when we're miles and miles apart, you'll still be holding all of my heart. 💙💙💙💙
I lock my phone as I watch the plane soar into the sky. As I'm about to stand up, I hear a voice behind me.
"Enough of the sappy quotes."
I freak out a little as I turn to see who's behind me.
"You guys won't last with him being that far. You know it won't, Aud."
