Y/n awoke with a start, eyes blinking quickly as she tried to make sense of the darkened room. Her body felt heavier and warmer than normal, a weight bearing down on her chest as she took in a breath.
The momentary confusion was quickly erased as she felt silky strands tickle her nose, a familiar scent of vanilla and coconuts wafting upwards. Her hand slid up the back of a curled figure pressed against her body, stopping to trace light circles on the bare skin beneath her fingertips.
A soft smile made its way to Y/n's lips as she turned to bury her face in Camila's hair, the artist pressing a kiss to the Cuban's temple. She laid there for a few more minutes, relishing the uninterrupted time. Y/n was only shaken from her thoughts when the display on her iPhone lit up on the nightstand next to the bed.
Shawn: Hey, I take it everything went well since I haven't heard from you since yesterday. Give me a call when you wake up.
Y/n set her phone back down and rubbed at her face with her free hand. The events from the day prior came flooding back as she carefully slid her arm out from beneath Camila's sleeping form and swung her legs over the side of the bed. Her movements, unfortunately, woke the brunette from her slumber and Y/n suddenly found herself staring down at sleepy chocolate brown eyes.
"I'm sorry, Camila. I didn't mean to wake you, I just had to use the restroom." Y/n ran a hand gently through the other woman's hair, trying to coax her back to sleep.
Camila nodded sleepily, allowing her eyes to close once again. Y/n felt herself relax, picking up her phone from the table side and tiptoeing towards the bathroom adjacent to the brunette's bedroom.
The call rang a couple of times before Shawn finally picked up, an excited edge to his voice as he greeted his friend.
"Y/n! How'd it go?! Tell me everything!"
"Good morning to you too, sunshine." The artist teased, leaning her naked torso against the countertop, "What would you like to know?"
"Stop." Shawn groaned out and Y/n heard his body flop down on something soft, "What happened yesterday after Dinah and I left?"
Y/n chuckled before relaying the story, leaving out the more explicit details. She was more than aware of the lovesick smile splayed across her face during entirety of her monologue, biting down on her bottom lip to avoid the embarrassing girlish squeals that threatened to spill out.
The outcome of her visit had gone better than she expected...actually the exact opposite of what she'd expected. Shawn felt his heart warm as his friend gushed about new beginnings and hope for the start of a new relationship.
The cautious side of the curly haired man wanted to remind Y/n that just because Camila had given into her desires didn't necessarily equal a relationship. But hopeless romanticism overshadowed any negative comments he may or may not have had.
A noise outside of the bathroom door made the conversation cease for a moment; a soft knock reverberating around the room a moment later.
"Y/n? Are you talking to someone?" Camila's soft voice could be heard on the opposite side.
Y/n immediately unlocked the door, pulling it open with a smile. "Yeah, I'm just on the phone with Shawn." She put her friend on speaker, handing the phone to Camila so that the two could chat for a moment while she relieved herself.
"Is Y/n really taking a piss right now?" Shawn could be heard groaning on the other line.
The artist looked up to see Camila muffling a giggle, "Yeah, you should know by now that she has absolutely no shame."
