Ever since the fight with Rick things have been weird like getting to school every morning Rick would say hi and walk me to first block now he just looks at me with a straight face also when he comes over now he would alway come into my room and sit and talk with me for at least an hour then leaving school after soccer practice because after every practice he would give me a ride home because he had hockey practice at that time
But now I didn't have to think about all of that because now was time for my date with Luis I was excited but kind of nervous because we've only hung out once I didn't even know what to wear luckily Linda and Julie were over
"Ok how about this one?" I asked holding up a skirt
"It's cute but what are you guys even doing" Linda asked
"Let me ask him" I said unsure myself
A: hey
L: what's up?
A: what are we doing? Like
what should I wear?
L: casual. jeans. Idk.
A: your so annoying that's
No help
L: you love me chill
"Ok he said casual with no context" I said stressed out
"Ok chill he likes playing like this just listen to him wear these" she said grabbing a pair of jeans
"Oh and this" Linda said grabbing a top for me I quickly put the outfit on and finished my hair by the time I finished it was 6:10 pm and Luis texted me saying he was outside
I walked downstairs with Linda and Julie and started putting on my shoes
"Where are you going?" Scooter asked looking at me from the living room as he said that Rick turned his head to look
My heart dropped as I didn't know that Rick was supposed to come over tonight
"Uhh out.." I said not wanting Rick to know who I was gonna be with "who?" Scooter asked prying
"No on-" I started saying before Linda blurted out "Luis Mendoza" she said smiling not knowing the history with Rick
"Uh ya I'm gonna go" I said trying to leave
I walked out seeing Luis leaning up against his car waiting for me as we made eye contact we both grew huge smiles on our face
As I walked over Luis said "your 10 minutes late but damn it's worth it" as he grabbed my waist as we went in for a kiss he stopped "looks like we have an audience"
I looked back at my house seeing scooter, Rick, Linda, and Julie staring at us all of them smiling except for Rick
"Let's finish this in private" I said laughing he opened the door for me then walked over to his side
"So can I know what we're doing now?" I asked
"No way its a surprise" Luis said pulling over I was confused as to why we stopped "what's thi-" I started but got cut off by Luis kissing me
"Just needed to finish that" he said holding his hand on my cheek I laughed not knowing what to do
We continued driving then eventually Luis grew enough confidence to put his hand on my thigh
After 30 minutes of driving and talking we arrived at target field I could t believe him "we're going to a twins game?" I smiled
"Ya... you like it?" I was so happy I just kissed him
After the kiss ended he said "I have another surprise" he said reaching back and handing me a bag I reached in and pulled out a twins jersey "Luis you didn't have to" I smiled
We finally got to our seats and we were first row
The whole game was so fun just being with Luis was fun he never failed to make me laugh
"So am I amazing at dates or what?" He said "ya you are next date I wanna plan"
"There's a next one?" He got excited "I get it if you don't want another one" I said knowing he did
"What?!? No that's not what I meant" he said stuttering
"I'm just teasing you Mendoza" I laughed
After the game ended the whole way home we talked and that's when Luis got fully comfortable with me enough to rub his hand on my thigh

I finally got home I thought no one was awake so I snuck around the house as to not disturb anyone
Once I was washed up and finished all my skincare I went downstairs to get water just as I left my room Linda called me
"Omg give me updates!!" She said screaming
"It was good really good" I said smiling walking down the stairs
"What did you do?!?"
"We went to a twins game it was amazing" I said as I walked into the dark kitchen
"Stop that's so cute" she said
"The whole night was perfect" I said filling my cup up with ice
As I turned around to the tap the light got turned on I got scared so I dropped my glass once I finally looked to see who it was I seen rick standing there
"Listen Linda I gotta go I'll call tomorrow" I hung up
As I hung up I bent down to pick up my ice Rick walked past me to grab a drink from the fridge
"So Mendozas great?" He said in a mocking tone
"Ya tonight was good" I said not wanting to talk about it to him because it was weird for me
I finished cleaning up the ice and went upstairs to avoid any more conversation
I was upstairs in my room wanting to just forget that moment then I heard my phones message go off and I was happy to see it was from Luis
L: W date
I instantly had butterflies from that
I went to sleep in a great mood that night excited for the next date
