Kaydence opened her eyes. Everything was silent.
She remembered.
She screamed and it was not silent anymore. She knew she was a part of them, one of them; of the creatures that had destroyed her life. She screamed again. Then, as she heard the ambulances in the distance, she got up and did what she did best.
Run.

Sometimes she felt as if there was a wolf inside her. A big, black thing incorporating all her rage, her hatred, her sorrow.
It was a dog from hell, and she was certain she was the only one feeling it.
