It's a late Saturday evening. The dark blues and blacks of the night sky decorate the streets, dotted with flickering street lights serving as a habitat for any nearby moth to distract themselves. The air is slightly cool, with a breeze coming in now and again to break up the dank humidity of the daytime. Most people are starting their routine of getting themselves ready for bed. And yet, there's still someone staying up full of energy, albeit slightly winding themselves down. Yes indeed, it's Lucina.
She's finishing up one of her many late night streams. After a hearty evening of reacting to donation messages & mixing up her opponents on a myriad of fighting games, she is clocking out at just over 5 hours. As such, she's signing off her viewers right before doing so!
"ALLLLLLLLLLLRIGHT Y'ALL! Wooooo! That was DAMN good stream if I do say so myselg. Still can't believe I managed to get the beta code for the new roguelike based around Heretic's Flower, but hey, guess I'm just that cool, eh? Remember, if y'all wanna preorder it, use the link below my stream to do so, and I'd supes appreciate it. Anyway, next stream is gonna be tomorrow, we're gonna see how many more quests are left in Tales of Concordia before we hit the end boss, then a few more rounds of HF to see how far we can get before it launches next week, then probably a stall for the last hour as we react to the new Indie Gaming Showcase. Crossing my fingers for that Crescendo remaster that's been teased since last July, but we'll see! Thanks again for showing up to another SICK IronBloodedBull stream, and I'll catch y'all later! PEACE."
With that, and a flurry of lovely goodbye messages from her viewer base, she ends her stream. An exasperated sigh escapes her lips, as she gets up to loudly stretch. With an audible groan and a few cracking bones, she takes a sip of water before realizing something very very important. Signified like a gong staff just hit her ribs.
She is absolutely FAMISHED.
She lays wastes to some errant chips she left underneath her monitor before looking online and seeing what's open. As she's scrolling further down and down, she remembers one spot that's GOTTA be open this late. With it square in her mind, she quickly gathers her things and heads out on her motorbike to dash over before it's too late. Weaving in and out of these streets like it's the back of her hand, she knows the area all too well. A nice nail salon here, a chill corner store there, the neighborhood has become a haven for someone trying to keep a low profile such as herself.
However, she soon stops herself at a red light. Even with all the cars around her, she's noticed one tail her for at least a few blocks now. How odd. How peculiar. With her history it's no coincidence. It can't be, right? To confirm this, she turns into a nearby backstreet and soon finds herself with her motorbike pressed up against the walls of an alley where she can view anyone pursuant. Moments pass, and nothing dramatic happens. Maybe the pitter patter of a mouse sounds out the evening against the rushes of motor vehicles, but nothing more.
Lucina, feeling rightfully miffed, comments to herself: "You kidding me? I'm getting too paranoid for this nonsense."
She then notices on her dash a low gas indicator and curses to herself. She could've sworn she got it filled up the other day, right? Oh man it's been a while actually. Often times she hermits herself in her home so filling up is rare, but how ever do the stars align. As such, she turns into the nearest gas station. An odd affair, as it's one of the newer ones built on the block. For some reason, it has two stories. The first one is your standard roadside refueling station, chock full of sugary snacks and paper towels for 4$ a roll. However, leading up is a restaurant opening up soon? Some kind of Tapas place called "Plates A Plant-y!" How ever jovial. There's signage signaling its grand opening to be a month out from now, so you can still view the interior through the windows of a well furnished lounge, as well as a lovely decorated rooftop!
