I heard snoring coming from my bedroom. I smiled.
My heart skipped a beat. It was him. I immediately saw it. The arms, the hands.. it was definitely him. I realised I was staring when a girl bumped into me and my bag fell on the ground. My heart was still racing when I stooped and started to pick up my stuff. Great. My bag was torn on one side and the cards I made, had fell in mud. Great great great. I worked on those letters for more than a week! But I shouldn't concentrate on my bag or the cards. I needed to get to that hotel.
Holding my bag awkwardly, I decided to walk around the crowd, that seemed the easiest and fastest way to get to the hotel entrance. The square was really crowded so it took me a while to find out a way around all of the people. Luckily, I found a stairs that led to a lower part of the square. There were almost no people there, only paramedics, ambulances and some police officers. I walked towards the hotel, I was getter more nervous every second. Every step that brought me closer to the hotel seemed like climbing a mountain. All I wanted to do was go to the hotel to meet the one person I never met before, but loved more than anything. But at the same time, I wanted to run away as soon as I could. What if he didn't like me? My life would be over. I didn't think anyone else could be as perfect for me as he was.
When I finally arrived at the entrance of the hotel, I noticed there were big white screens between the hotel and the square. If you were on the square, you couldn't see the entrance, and if you were near the entrance, you could not see the square, you could only hear the screaming. I thought it would take me a while to get into the hotel, but the guards outside didn't seem to notice me, they were just staring at the white screens. When I went into the hotel, I immediately recognized the first person I saw. It was Paul. All I was thinking was that he could not notice me. He would see my bracelet and the bag with presents for the boys and then he would tell me to leave. My knees felt weak, almost like I was going to fall over. I tried to act as cool as I possibly could, which was hard because normally I'm always jumping around. I felt my cheeks turning red and my head seemed like it was going to explode. I could tell Paul was looking at me, at what I was doing and what I was going to do. I walked along and my plan of acting cool seemed to work. That is, until I arrived at the elevator. My hand reached for the button, but too late I realized that was the hand that kept my bag from ripping further. The gap that had been about the size of an orange before, was now about the size of a big watermelon. Everything that was safely in my bag a second ago, was now laying on the floor. The muddy letters, the presents, my wallet, my phone, my makeup, food.
I didn't think my face could become more red, but now, it felt like my head was a giant tomato. I was so embarrassed. It became only worse when I noticed that all the bodyguards had turned their heads to try to find out what had caused the noise. I kept looking at the ground while putting most of my stuff in my bag, which had become not more than a ripped piece of fabric. Oh my god.
