I rolled over, restless. Two months. I groaned, rolling back over to my other side. Two goddamned months in this place. All because of a little scratch on my stomach. I sat up, stretching. My hands ran across my stomach, feeling the new scar tissue. Today should be the day I'm allowed out. It's all healed and I only feels slight discomfort now.

A demon had gotten my stomach during a long dual. The two of us had been battling for hours on end and daylight was nearing. As my sword connected with its neck, its claws slashed my stomach. I assume it wanted a life for a life. What a fool.

I shook my head to wake myself up some more. A glimpse of black, orange, and white caught my eye. A new suit and my mask! I gasped, reaching for it. A letter sat on top reading "A new suit! Put it on and come out to the training yard. Try not to rip the sleeves off this one. Stay flashy! ~ Tengen". A smile spread across my face. Tengen had been the one to save little me from a demon on the streets, so many years ago. Okay, really it's only been about five, but it seemed so much longer. The large, flamboyant man had also trained me, though I used Cloud Breathing and not Sound Breathing.

I got up, taking my suit with me and equipping it in the nearby restroom. I checked myself out in the mirror. I "fixed" my suit by ripping off the sleeves despite what Tengen had told me. I charged outside when I was satisfied, only stopping briefly to shove my fox mask on my head. I skidded to a stop in front of Tengen, a smile plastered upon my face. "Tengen! I haven't seen you in forever!"

"Hey there, kid! It has been a while, huh?" He exclaimed, ruffling the fur atop my head. "Have you been staying flashy?"

"Of course I have! Would you expect anything less from the student of the great Tengen?" I replied, flexing my muscles. I paused for a second. "Tengen?"

"Yes?"

I hesitated briefly again. "Where's my sword?"

"Ah, right. Your sword seemed to have disappeared. We needed to make you a new one."

My heart dropped. I had broken a sword before and was nearly murdered by the man who makes them. Tengen must have noticed the shift of my energy.

"Ah, don't worry. I had your new group pick up your new Nichirin sword for you."

"My what?" I fumed. I didn't need a group! What the Hell is this?! "I don't need a damned group, Tengen."

As if on cue, a group of two came around the corner. A nervous yellow haired boy trailed behind a red-headed boy with a scar on his forehead. The red-head held a sword wrapped up in cloth. They stopped in front of me and Tengen. The two of them bowed. 'Hey, these two are from final selection. I remember them!'

"Hello," The one bearing my sword greeted. His voice was soft, calm, and sweet. "I'm Tanjiro Kamado. This is Zenistu Agatsuma. And that-" He stopped, a confused expression crossing his face as he glanced over his shoulder. "Zenistu, where's Inosuke?"

"O-oh! Uhm.." The yellow haired boy looked around. "I'm.. not sure. He was right behind us. I'll go check." He took off back the way they came.

"Uhm, I'm so sorry." Tanjiro hesitated, a sheepish smile on his face. "Oh! Here's your sword!" He exclaimed happily, bowing and holding the blade out to me again.

I quickly grabbed it, mumbling a small thanks. I tore the cloth off and let it flutter to the floor as I wielded my new blade. A blinding white ran up the blade, followed by a suffocating black. The two colors swirled together. I let out a small gasp. It's different! My e/c eyes widened with fear and I whipped around to stare at Tengen. "Why is it black and white and not just white?!"

"I'm not sure, Y/n." He mumbled. "However," A smile spread across his face. "It sure is flashy! I love it!"

I turned back to observe my sword. Maybe it was defective. Oh well, the new color shouldn't affect my swordsmanship or breathing technique any.

"So, Tanjiro Kamado," I addressed one of my new companions as I sheathed my sword. "There's another?"

"Ah, yeah. He was right behind us. I'm not sure where he could've gone. Zenistu should be back any seco-"

Tanjiro was cut off as Zenistu turned the corner, wailing loudly. The golden headed boy ran towards them, screaming about how someone's going to rip his head off. I reached for my sword, ready to draw it. Although demons can't get here, people can. And some people were nearly as bad as demons.

A... Thing chased Zenistu. It had the body of a man, but the head of a boar. It wore Demon Slayer Corps bottoms, but no top was seen. Loud snorting and laughing erupted from the thing. "HAH! A NEW ENEMY!" It yelled, drawing two swords- wait why did it get two? It leapt high into the air, swords raised above it's head. It took me a second to realize it was aiming for me. I quickly drew my sword, holding it above my head and widening my stance to hold off the blow.
