Changes - Minsung

Part 18

Jisungs POV

It is Monday and I am on my way to the cafeteria. Seungmin and Jeongin are walking next to me and talking.
At the entrance to the dining room, Felix awaits us beaming with joy."Guess who says we can eat with him?" he snorts.The three of us look at him uncomprehendingly."Hyjunji Huyng!" shouts Felix downright. "You all have to come with me, I don't dare sit alone at the table with the older ones."

Seungmin just rolls his eyes, but follows the little sunshine without a word back. Jeongin just looks at me briefly and then pushes me in that direction as well.
At the table with Hyunjin are three other boys. As we get closer, the faces I know stand out. Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, and Minoh. Of course.
The others are quicker and already seated as I drift in. I greet everyone quietly and pause in front of the table for a moment.
"Here sit next to me little squirrel" Changbin calls enthusiastically to me. I follow the movement of my body motorically and drop down next to Changbin. He directly puts his arm around me and tries to wrap me in a conversation.

I can't stand it that he always comes so close to me. For him this is probably not a big deal but I feel rather uncomfortable with the contact with others.

Minoh sits across from me and eyes us skeptically.

"Binnie, don't crowd him like that and eat," he grumbles over to us. Changbin grimaces, but actually turns his attention to his food. " Since when do you care about other people Minnie?" Changbin asks challengingly in Minoh's direction. Minoh just grimaces without answering.

Relieved at my release and somewhat amused at Minoh's reaction, I send Minoh a slight smile and gesture a thank you.He only looks at me briefly and lowers his head to his food again.

Nevertheless, I imagine I have saw a brief, barely noticeable grin on his face.

I watch the rest of the meal, amused by the conversations at the table. Eating with the elders isn't so bad. Channie is my friend anyway and the others are fine too I think.

Minoh and his friends have already gotten up from the table when Hyunjin turns to us again.

"My parents are out for the weekend and I'm making a party at my house. I already told Lixie, but if you guys want you're welcome as well."

He winks in Felix's direction and turns away from us completely.
Almost at the same time, all our heads turn to Felix, who already has red cheeks.

"What was that Lixie?" asks Seungmin pointedly.
"You guys heard, right? We're going to a party!" laughs Felix, beaming all over his face.

Sometimes I really wonder if it's even possible to radiate more joy than Felix. But I don't call him little sunshine for no reason.
